For as long as we have human refs with biases and subjective judgment calls, every single fanbase will forever be complaining about the refs being against them. Let’s just win.
Leafs need to score early and often to get the refs out of the game.

I really tried, for years, to avoid blaming officiating but the last handful of years it’s been really hard to ignore. Especially with all the instant Twitter clips and reporting. Consistently bottom of the league for PP’s and playoff frustration.
Before it was Leafs fans being paranoid, now the claim is starting to have some teeth. I’m even seeing opposing fans notice it.

I’m just praying that neutral fans watching aren’t subjected to the heavy leafs bias that has been the hallmark of the nhl playoffs for the past two decades.
I know that fans of other teams in western canada and quebec who tune in to hate-watch the leafs are often frustrated by how much the league favours toronto and the non-stop pro-toronto bias the refs and nhl blatantly shows angers them greatly, as does the heavy amount of leafs commentary during intermission panels.

Jesus Christ, all this conspiracy referee stuff is embarrassing. Referees aside, you could tell the team didn’t look confident on Tuesday. Confidence wins games. We are a strong team, and when we’re playing confidently, we win. End of story. Go leafs go.
Really hard to get called for a penalty when you have puck possession. Let’s focus on that for Game 2
