Yes they should. In an ideal world you wouldn’t want to give up a first and third for Gavrikov but that’s the market. And when/if injuries come specifically to Carlo/Gryz then we’ll be happy we have him. But let’s face it Bruin fans will bitch about Sweeney no matter what he does.

Defensive depth is very important in the playoffs.

asking is way too high… like wanting a first and a second for forbort.
If the asking price would be only 1st b’s should do it but not with 1st ,3rd and 4th. But then again defence is what wins the cup so maybe they should still go fo it. This is most likely last year for b’s to go all in with this group. But what would be price for EK for 75% salary retention. If that would come with two 1st and two 4th rnd picks then they should go after him.

We have the best defense in the league and you want to screw it up by picking up this average player? The guy has played in 256 games in his career and has 15 goals and 58 assists and has a +/- of -23. Ahhhh….. NO THANKS!!! We could use some offensive help not defense. They have a solid 3 lines with Bergeron, Marchand & DeBrusk on the 1st line. Krejci, Pasta & Zacha on the 2nd line. Coyle, Hall & Foligno on the 3rd line. The 4th line could use some help. Nosek, Frederik & Smith is pretty good but adding someone like Kane would help that 4th line immensely!
Can Bs put Craig or Forbort in AHL, til playoffs when there's no salary cap? Bad year for contracts. We won't know if increase will be $1 mil or $4 mil yet… That's screwing up this year's negotiations.

The more I hear about this guy the less I'm interested. I'm actually kind of worried at this point. Don't give up a 1st round pick for this guy. It's another Brandon Carlo.
hard no on Gavrikov. Find a way to clear the books for Reilly, Wagner, and Smith and trade Grizzy. Love the hometown story but Chychrun is an upgrade with size, and offensive upside, and imagine what he could do in Boston.
