With all due respect to Fleury, I can see that the team has no confidence when he stands in goal. The coaching staff should have noticed this even before the playoffs and realized that the coach should not impose his will on the players, but use the mood of the team as a factor for victory. And to tell the truth, I really think that Fleury is no longer at the age to show outstanding results, the reaction is not the same, there is no excitement, because he has won a lot. We need to release the hungry to the playground.
It's Bill Guerin who wants to play Fleury. He went out and got him last season because they have a relationship. I think Evason wants to play Gus but his hands are tied.
It doesn't matter one bit who's in goal if you are turning the puck over and giving up off man rushes you have no shot ….if gus was in net we would have lost only by one or 2 goals ..wouldn't have mattered at all
The wild lost the series last night. The coaching staff lost their team. The players know as well as all of us Gus should have started that game. You ride the hot guy as long as you can. That's the way it's been and that's the way it is.. if your own coaches and general manager don't know that they should go somewhere else
The more I watch of this press conference angrier I get. What we have is a really arrogant general manager and Coach who think they know everything. They're coming off as stupid in reality.
It's 1 game. Does it really matter if you loose by 4 or 1? We all knew Dallas would play better. Wild took 1 game and that's what you want on the road. What would of happen if Gus let in 7? Calm down people.
"Nothing was on Flower tonight" ?? Wow… that's a stunning and delusional statement. I get it, everyone played bad, but Flower played like shit too. You can't let him off the hook like that. And you can't sit the hot goalie who just won you a huge game 1. Unbelievable delusion and it's sad to see this, I thought we had a real chance in this series (and we still do), but man it's 100x tougher with a delusional head coach who deliberately sits his hottest net minder because. Unbelievable stupidity. Hopefully the boys don't let this stupidity get to them like we let it do, as fans, and can keep battling through and win this series depsite a DELUSIONAL head coach.
