We discuss the hurdles the Wild had to climb before the game even started without Ryan Hartman or Joel Eriksson Ek playing, but the fact that the Wild were still in this game in the second period. We talk about the decision to start Marc-Andre Fleury and try to get to the bottom of why the team looks so different on the ice when Fleury plays compared to Gustavsson. We discuss the disastrous performance yet again from the penalty kill, and try to differentiate between bad penalties and players standing their ground. I understand your trying to look for reason we don't play as well in front of Flower. But most the goal last night weren't rebounds.
I am sorry but I keep hearing people calling out Zucc and Merrill but NO BODY is talking about how bad the Captain played last night. Yes +/- isn't the best stat but he was a team leading -3 last night and personal got beat on 2 of the first 3 goals. He isn't running the PP well either. Add to that he got blasted in the board in the 1st which really set the tone for the whole game. HE IS OUR LEADER time to start playing like it. Stop giving him passes.
Also Kirill has a total of 2 shots on net last night thats not all on Zucc. Is Boldy playing cause I haven't seen him score yet.
Stop holding the role players accountable when our stars aren't playing like leaders. Call out the leaders and hold their ass to fire.
Finally Dean needs to put his ass to the fire him this year. Not sure who pick the goalie last night but add to that Faber has the least TOI of our defensemen. He just doesn't know how to trust/handle young players. I know Rossi situation is different but if we had a coach who embraced these younger guys and let them learn from mistakes early in the season, we might have a center right now who can make plays. Instead we have Sam Steel centering a #1 line.
People questioning Dean on why he started Fleury over Gus, but I'm more curious on why he put Dumba on the PK. They had their chance to make a miracle comeback in the third with 2 straight PP's and they blew it because they could barely get the puck across the Stars' blue line.

Putting foligno on Boldys line just doesn't work his decisions are his downfall.
I have never seen a player of Kaprisov’s pedigree get so little respect from the officials. If teams did this to McDavid, McKinnon there would be suspensions. The #1 strategy in playing the Wild is to injure Kaprisov it seems. Vegas a couple of years ago, the Blues to a lesser extent last year, the Jets, and now Dallas. Take liberties, why not, there are never any penalties to be called. Give us a 4:00 minute high stick on an infraction where the Dallas player actually lifts Middleton’s stick, G1, ignore the cross checks. As for Fleury, the reason this happens is he’s the new Brad Radke of hockey, ( a Twins starter who gave up runs in the first 1-3 innings) of almost every game he pitched. Once he settle down, he would go 6-8 innings with 3 – 4 runs, after the first few innings. Fleury’s lines go, 4 SOG, 2 goals as an example, all the time. The first goal on the shortie, he makes that save, he probably plays well. He just never made that save we needed, we cut it to 4-3, boom, stop one of those and we’re still in the game, instead it’s 6-3 and over. Getting EK back will help tremendously as he is our shut down center. Bring up Klingberg, should help on the PP, hope Hartman can come in. My last request is to put Nyquist in with 97. Zuccarello isn’t preforming well. Maybe start him, see what the mojo is and do not be afraid to change it up in the game. Jesus, I typed this up before you were done, great minds think alike 😁….

Let's hope Ek is ready and let's also hope Kirill isn't so easily frustrated. I would, however, demote Zucc and promote Nyquist. Flip-flop spots and Fluery wouldn't play again unless Gus also gets obliterated. Know this, Dallas is the better team but that doesn't mean the Wild cant win the series. It is anyone's series right now.
