I created this video to show that Dmitry Orlov has been playing amazing so far with the Boston Bruins. Orlov has been amazing both offensively and defensively. He has been the Boston Bruins best player on the ice the last few games. Orlov has scored goals, set up goals, and has been playing amazing defensively. He has helped show that the Boston Bruins are the favourites to win the Stanley Cup.

When I first learned of the trade I realized the local team had given up on the season and I feel bad for Ovechkin. But I grew up in Boston and was overjoyed. Orlov's style fits in perfectly with the Bruins, so I am unsurprised at his early success. And let's not overlook Hathaway who adds to an already overwhelming set of forwards.

He's been amazing for years. This success is determined by his skill and experience and by Bruins' management knowing that this guy's strengths are exactly what they need. Imagine getting a BIG NAME to do what the player is not really great at. That would be bad. The complete opposite is true here. He doesn't need time to get used to the new team – he does what he's great at and that's exactly fitting the needs of Bruins. Amazing trade.
According to the media, Patrick "0 points, -4 differential" Kane was the best trade, and makes the Rangers cup favorites.
Happy the Bruins passed on Chychrun and Gavrikov, because Orlov is the better player and perfect fit for the Bruins.
Great addition to an already incredibly balanced team, the key is team defense, backchecking hard all the time, limiting the opposition prime scoring chances. Overall team D.

Orlov to Boston was such an unexpected trade but he’s basically becoming a second Lindholm. Two defensemen who have real power on offense too, and can score for themselves and feed teammates. Boston has needed another defenseman like that and now that we have Dmitry Orlov we’re stronger than ever. Hathaway was also sent to the B’s and while he hasn’t produced much yet he still has potential to make the 4th line a really tough one to play against as well. What a deal for Boston
You are right on with all you said, Orrlov has come in and made that end of the ice his. His creativity with the puck has been excellent.
Very strategic trade. Orlov is exactly what the Bruins needed for the playoff run. All three additions are good fits and will make an impact in the second season Stanley Cup run.
And even better he won't show up for the Playoffs

skilled D Men in the new NHL are so valuable. i really hope the Bs can some how sign him….but that is prolly a dream. Mcavoy, Lindy and Orrlov would keep the Bs competitive despite some guys close to retirement. you know who they are.

I loved the deal at the time but I don’t think anyone saw this kind of start coming. I would’ve been happy if he just contributed a few points in his first few games but to put up 9 points in just 5 games is ridiculous, especially for a defenseman. Obviously he won’t be able to keep up this pace but already he’s proven to be a great acquisition
