Other than NJD, all these series/teams in the meme are tied up. Are you implying every single home game should be won by the home team every time? Cause that’s not how that works

  2. B4NNED__

u must have missed every game yesterday lol

  3. Canadian__Ninja

Wait until OP finds out where the game 7s are played

It’s not worthless but I get what you’re saying. All of these teams are now in a 5-game series WITHOUT home ice advantage. Except for NJ, that shit is over.

  5. IWMSvendor

One of these teams is not like the others.

  6. NotAMacaw

Only one of those teams is down 0-2, clown

  7. SVTour07

Couldn’t find the Bruins logo anywhere?

  8. mikess101

So you repost the meme from two days ago when it was actually relevant when all of those teams except NJ won their Game 2…

  9. HyruleJedi

Unsure how the B’s are not on this list by this logic

Relatively new to ice hockey. What exactly is a home ice advantage?

The worth of a thing cannot be determined over short observations. Check out home-ice stats since 2008:

For regular season games, it looks like home teams get about 4% advantage. small, but consistent from year to year. For playoffs, it’s much more variable and also confounded by the fact that home ice advantage is given to the team that already has a better proven win record! Clearly, except for 2 years, the home team had the advantage, but it’s really hard to disentangle the extra wins as caused by the simple fact that the team was statistically better or other less tangible (home crowd, line changes, extra sleep).

Either way, teh home ice advantage is very small and might no be obvious in such short samples.

I thinknwere technically better on the road so… 4 road games would kinda be better for us.

    Seriously…

Ranger fans were freaking out after Kane signed and they immediately didn’t take over the Devils for the division.

Whining about home ice and using mental gymnastics to shit on him bla bla bla…

The whole time I was like, have you ever watched the NHL playoffs?
