Damn
obligatory NHL Draft comment
Red wings moving forward. Love it
Buying out abdelkader wasn't necessary, the real story is what comes next.
Yes bad contract, and he doesn't produce, but Detroit is rebuilding and not in cap crunch, just letting the contract run its course, buried in the ahl would have been fine.
This leads me to believe multiple moves are coming and stevie felt he needed the additional cap space
Glad Alzner is gone but sad he gon!
But where will our veteran leadership come from?
As a wings fan this just made the day even better! Little sad to see a on of the native Michigan guys leave, but that cap hit was going to keep use from fully weaponizing the cap this off season. Now we can take on a contract for another 1st and draft Askarov! Lol
hey remember me sry i havent joined the streams lately school sucks lol
Good riddance, God I hated that Toad. I supposed they needed to keep Nielsen due to somewhat better.
Just wondering if we've created a roster spot for a prospect considered NHL ready……. Anton Lundell anyone????
🎉CELLLL-EEEE-BRAAAAAATE GOOD TIMES COME ON!! 🎉 🎵🎺-🎶🎺-🎶🎺-🎵🎺-🎵🎺-🎵🎺-🎶🎺🎶-🎺WAAA HOOO! There's a PARTY goin on right here…let's Celebrate…
Crazy red wings idea involving Tampa, especially with abby being bought out.
Stamkos to Detroit!!
We all know Tampa needs to get rid of salary and talk about Johnson, gourde and palat as pieces being moved. We also know stamkos isnt untouchable, and the cost being an all time low to aquire him, especially with Tampa in cap hell.
Yes he's aging and has injury history, but the wings are lacking all star talent, and a veteran star to take the burden off larkin would be fantastic. A leader and offensive dynamo to play with zadina/mantha/larkin.
Like I said, crazy, but a guy can dream, all cost depending of course
I actually just commented on another video hoping for a buyout of Abby! Like 10 minutes before this news was released. So… woohoo!
Make a video on knights are trying to trade half of fleury's contract for a second and also the Nate Schmidt rumors
I had to look for this. I get only half the notifications, even though i rang the bell – all notifications.
Happy draft day Lego!
les go these players aren’t good anymore
Abdelkader just had a children's book published in the last year or so ago about how he finally made his dream and became a Red Wing.
I never read it personally.
Habs just traded domi to Columbus … what will MB do next with this extra cap space
Habs should look into signing Josh Leivo. He's a UFA for cheap.
Wonder if Washington will take a flyer on bringing Alzner back for a 1 year deal at league minimum.
Frans Nielsen is sweating right now
Give Steve credit, he could have just allowed Abdelkader to play a few more years as he is a native Michigan guy. But Yzerplan is sending a message he will send you out (like AA) if you are not producing. Abdelkader on the books until 2027 is hard to swallow but I guess something had to give.
It was time to move on
all abbys buyout does is free up a roster spot. i think stevie y takes another bad contract and another fabbri like trade, and calls it a day for next season. the wings are going to be bad again. thats ok they just bottomed out, can only go up…. right?
Time for the Alzner to the Leafs rumours to take over the hockey world …
