    IF Russia and USA both win their quarterfinals. they cannot face each other in the semis. they are in the same division and finish 1st and 2nd place in the standings in your scenerio it would be team Usa vs team Canada in semi 1 and Russia vs Sweden in semi 2.

    theres 1 X factor i feel you haven't put into consideration for Canada and that's the pandemic. most of the canadian players haven't been playing in their respective leagues so even tho they may still be training and such its no replacement for actual play time. the euros have all still been playing so will be in game shape right from the hop. i hope im wrong but i thibk this is gonna play huge against canada

    I can actually see Sweden win this tournament not many are talking about them this year because they usually choke in the playoffs but they have some very good players this year and many of them won the u18 championship together i wouldnt underrestimate them

    I think Finland win against Sweden but yeah, i woudnt be supraised if games go to overtime. Of course you better watch also these names in finnish roster like
    Roni Hirvonen, Roby Järventie, Topi Niemelä, Kassper Simontaival and Brad Lambert 😉

    just a stupid question from an outsider of this unpredictable game played on a slippery surface. Is woke nations number one. Canada, playing with girls, gays, lesbians, transexuals, blacks, asians, hindus, sikhs, fatties. plain white supremacists?? I really hope this minorities are represented or else why having a national program. Please confirm.

    There is absolutely nothing like a Canada vs Russia Gold medal game. I’m a child of the Cold War and there is nothing that can match the intensity, competition and skill of those two teams.

    After looking at the roster for canada. I don't think Canada will have a good tournament. Russia and the European teams have been playing all year so far. Most of Canada's roster hasn't played since March which especially for goalies makes a big difference. I think Russia will take the gold.

    We need a fair final this year. Last year was tainted by a poor referee decision in the final two minutes and therefore Canada’s win will forever have an * beside it. I’m cheering for Canada but I want a fair result.

    Even without the top pick in 2020 draft Lafrenniere, Team Canada's forward group is 14 deep and most talented I have seen ever at this tournament, each player could win the MVP. I think Canada wins Gold undefeated and it won't even be that close. I see Russia getting Silver and surprise pick for Bronze is Finland.

    With a late NHL start this year and alot of NHL draft players able to come to the world juniors I think this will really stack Canada with a superstar team. 2020 draft had lots of Canadians lots in the first round and even with nhl players going to the other nations Canada will have the most depth. My guesses are almost the same as you Canada Russia in the gold medal game, USA Sweden in the bronze. I say Canada wins gold but I think USA will get the bronze. Also if the regulation game is Austria and Switzerland, I would go with Switzerland.

    It's gonna be a great tournament.I think any one of 4-5 teams could win it with a bit of luck or hot goaltending.

    With Sweden and Germany not playing the the warm up games due to covid-19 positive result, they are on disadvantage. Slovakia have to cut 3 players and one goalie and Switzerland and chezch Republic have to cut 3 player and one has to be cut for Austria. I want to see Canada vs Finland. 3 key players plus their head and assisting coach for Sweden didn't come and also to Germany players didn't come also due to covid-19 positive result. Sweden can't practice till dec 21 and Germany can't can't practice until December 24. Warm up games r cancel and dec 21 and December 22 and to play 1 team on dec 23 or 24
