The Maple Leafs’ Best Lineup For Next Year! (Travis Dermott Re-Signs!)
In this video, I go over what the Maple Leafs’ best lineup could look like for next season! I provide two examples based on what Kyle Dubas has said so far!
I would play Bogosian over Dermott or Holl. I'm sorry but you want toughness and grit you play him. Dermott fell off the map last year and looked horrendous. Using Bogosian a bubble player is a big mistake.
Stone hands Hyman is not a top line player, Ok so he is good in the corners , that was when Babs only go to move was dump and chase and we had little skinny stars who couldn't handle the corners. Well the coach, the players , management and the times have changed. Notice Hyman like Reilly cannot complete a pass or play at the tempo star elite players play. With out him and Reilly , Mathews gets close to 100 points. Robertson – Matthews – Nylander Soup – Tavares – Marner Engvall(6’6) – Thornton(6’4) – Simmonds(6’2) Hyman(6’3) – Spezza (6’3) – Korshkov(6’4) Muzz – Brodie Dermott-Holl Lehtonen -Bogo Sandin-Lilligren
Rielly and Kerfy will fetch you a great 1st pair D man this off season.
I am only asking so don't shoot me is it possible for the Maple Leafs to buy out one of their top contracts and have a handshake agreement to let them sign a cheaper contract to the Leafs so they can be more cap friendly?

No way is this team a rounded team..,their bottom 9 is weaker than Tampa, Boston and Montreal. I will give you the The to 6 is equal to Tampa and Better than The B and the Habs….and their D is definitely not the best in the Atlantic…with at three if not 4 teams with better ones… the PP is their saving grace.
Still need a real money goalie and a right Dman. Freddy Andersen is a bum and this time it will cost Dubas his job. Dubas should trade nylander to the peg for lainia. The idea is to win the cup and laine is probably the best pure scorer in hockey , along with ovie and Mathews. Imagine Mathews and laine on the same line. Holy shit.
I'm a bit old school when I think about Defencemen. They are there to help keep the puck out of the net . Not to score goals . In my mind , thesr rushing Defencemen are NOT really Defencemen , they are ROVERS Yes , thats what I said , ROVERS A term left over from when hockey wss 1st invented hockey teams had 1 more player than they do now . A Rover could play any position he wanted to . Thats basically what a rushing Defenceman is . Morgan Riley is a Rover , Dougie Hamilton is a Rover . Bobby ORR was a Rover . A Defenceman stays close to the Blue and Defends against the breskout . TO needs another good D , especially on the left side ., and a better goalie . And well I dont like ssying it , but this is what I , think .

Jimmy Vesey should play on the third line, the top line should be Hyman – Matthews – Marner. I would play Robertson with Tavares.
