CHERRY’S CORNER: Grapes picks the Buds/Bolts winner & talks playoff hockey
The Toronto Sun’s Joe Warmington sat down with hockey legend Don Cherry to talk with him about the Maple Leafs/Lightning series and the best time of the season for hockey fans – the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Always great to hear Grapes spout. I think that kid should remain with O'Reilly he will learn how to be an NHL hockey player. That's a good fit. The 3rd line for Toronto will win this series there big mostly fast and they have a guy who can play in front of the net. I don't think TB matches up well against that 3rd line. If we get through that will be the difference.
It's not only that I miss Don Cherry, it's also the personal memories he brings back. I remember as a kid the Leafs would be playing and I would be laying on the floor with my Leafs jersey and mini stick right in front of the TV with my parents on the couch listening to Coaches Corner during the intermission. It feels like it was yesterday.

How far the mighty have fallen. While this is a nice gesture for cherry fans it's kind of sad that it's on his porch 😆. Must say though I don't miss him the smallest amount.
