All truth…. The bullshit that came out of that play

  2. RandyMarsh_RedditAcc

I mean Matthews took like 4 punches to the head before finally retaliating and his gloves never came off until he was already on the ground.

The ref just watched Matthews get punched and did nothing forcing Matthews to stand up for himself.

I’m glad he finally called out the shit Tampa gets up to.

Stamkos should have gotten the extra penalty and Matthews should not have ended up in the box.

    My respect for Stamkos evaporated.

    Also as always fuck Kucherov.

One of the refs was right there watching the entire thing, Matthews was attacked unprovoked by Stamkos. It was bullshit.

  5. KidMajala

Well fuck if the Rielly Point thing didnt happen, they refs would have had no guilt putting us on a 5-3 pp

    1. For the Kuch Rough on Rielly

    2. Stamkos instigator on Matthews

We all know how refs can’t pile it on 1 team without feeling guilty or eventually balancing the scale. You think I’m talking out my ass the Bruins did this for years before Tampa won a single cup.

Matthews had to sit out almost half the period due to that, when leafs were down 1.

Wasn’t happy about that at all. But didn’t hate the refs overall tonight.

I’m pretty sure that’s not what he said. I believe what he actually said was how Tampa brilliantly manipulated the *situation *, which is certainly true.

When you considered the strategy Tampa took in that scrum, my hunch is that Tampa knew there’s only ~10 minutes left to get out of the game. If they put the Leafs star players in the box, that’ll optimize their chances of getting out of there with the W.

The ensuing power play for Toronto was certainly disjointed and overall lacklustre.

    Indeed, brilliant.

Biggest example of the ref bias is the hit layer on McCabe by Maroon in the third. The exact same hit that Clifford got a susy for last playoffs

  9. Winsonian92

Honestly the problem is more the refs than stamkos. But then again, Bettman was watching from the box so I guess that’s what happens.

  10. wingmage1

I was saying it should be a 5 on 3, but there’s no way the refs call that after seeing Point leave in what looked like a really bad injury

  11. warmachinae

This should have been a 5 on 3 for the Leafs. After thos bullshit they let tampa get away with interference, tripping, crosschecks, punches after the whistle, charging and more. Even in OT. Leafs played like ass but its a miracle they got through the refereeing bullshit

  12. drunkimunki

Ya the scuffle was over and Stamkos spazed out should be something extra to him for sure

  13. johnnymavrigg

Keep up the psychological warfare. We need to mindf**k the officials as much as possible.

  14. Puzzleheaded_Load910

I’d rather have that ref than Wes any-day

  15. ButterCut97

The craziest thing was Stamkos got the attention of the ref and then suckered Matthews so there’s no excuse for the ref not seeing it

  16. ThePuertoRicoSuave

I never really thought about it but YEAH HES RIGHT

  17. Falcon_905

Very true. Fuck Stinkos that timid, introverted little bitch

  18. SnooBooks9137

My take was Stamkos felt Reilly was targeting their best player and the refs weren’t calling a penalty so he was arguing if that’s the case he should go after matthews and did it to prove a point to the ref. Wish Matthew’s landed a clean one right down the pipe.

Tampa fans think this is Keefe complaining about the refs. It’s really just him giving credit to Tampa’s players.

  20. Gloomy-Can706

LOL Tampa sub having a meltdown over this comment

  21. Knowing how to take advantage of these types of situations is something Boston and Tampa have always been very good at.

  22. BornIn67

And this is what not getting outcoached looks like. Thank you Sheldon. The perfect comment. The perfect time.

  23. SyphiliticPlatypus

Keefe’s post-game was brilliant. Total respect for both Tampa’s overall play, at the same time throwing shade at this pussy move knowing they will get the benefit of the refs’ incompetence.

Keefe even points out that the ref was holding onto Stamkos while he started punching Matty, and how ludicrous a situation that is that it didn’t end in a 5 on 3.

Fucking joke. Keefe did well calling it out.

  24. Please beat these fucks!! Avs fan here and can 100% confirm they are scum and will go as low as possible to win!!
