  1. Gustavsson in net, that's the way to go. Happy Klingberg has success against Dallas.

  2. The reasoning for Gustavsson not playing was crazy. I think they were attempting to manage Fleury's ego which is unmanageable.

  3. That’s how the Wild need to play going forward, great game! Also Faber and Klingberg look to be a really good 3rd pairing, not going to be many holes in this lineup when they’re fully healthy.

  4. Weakest Stars team I've ever seen. They won't hit. They won't stick up for their teammates. They won't play through the dirty play. Benn needs to lose his C. Otter giving up softies for the caliber of goalie he is. OT goal was soft. 2 softies in game 2. 3 last night. I've seen baby shit tougher than this team.

  5. Same here! Playing Fluery was a huge mistake and if Dallas wins game 4 that could spell trouble for the Wild in my opinion 1:10

  6. The Wild are bullies both on the ice and off the ice. It doesn’t matter who the opponent is. It’s very rarely that I hope or cheer for Minnesota to win a game in both regular and post season

  7. This was the only game of the day that I shut off early. As soon as the Wild made it 4-1, I turned off my laptop and turned on TBS and watched the Kings/Oilers the rest of the way

  8. If the Stars want to win this series, they're going to have to match the intensity and physicality of the Wild. The Wild aren't doing anything out of the ordinary on offense. It would also help to crash the net instead of shooting from the perimeter and having your shots block. That's playing SOFT. Unacceptable.

  9. Statistically that was the worst xGoals performance of the season from the Dallas Stars.
    xGoals tonight: 0.77
Second worst performance: 0.899 (Nov 21)
    Stats from moneypuck

As a stars fan i’m worried for the team for game 4, they are going to have to dig deep and secure a win on sunday. Next game is easily going to be the biggest of the series. Wild did a great job of not letting any dangerous shots get to gustavsson.

  10. You Minnesota Fans are such Homers. You guys deserved to win last night, good for ya. Don’t act like you have the cup in hand already. It was only a few days ago when you all were calling for Dean Evason’s head for putting in Fluery and acting like the series was over.

  11. Dallas has been diving all series… Foligno literally took that embellishment to mock the cry baby Stars

  12. I think by full roster it was meant that Dallas had 12 forwards for the game, whereas Minnesota had to play with 11 as Ek left in the first minute.

  13. I have heard a lot of people talk about how game 2 really could have gone to MN had Gus played but I just don't see it. Fleury had absolutely no defensive help in that game. I think it was a miracle only 7 went in the net.

  14. I had a bad playoffs in 2019 when my least liked team then, the St Louis Blues, started unexpectedly winning one series after another, defeating all the teams I was rooting for . . . who is my least favorite this time? The winner tonight. No repeat of 2019, I hope.

  15. I will credit Fleury for having a red hot March schedule, with a .928 and basically all wins except one shoot-out loss. No being results based, him playing game 2 seemed fine.

That said, both teams had about an xGF of ~3. We played competitively across all metrics, but goaltending was below average, and thus the result. You replay that game 100 times, with just average goaltending on both sides, and it's shockingly a 50/50.

Either way, so far the Wild are playing the right way, and shouldnt let anything like Game 2 change that. Just keep doing what you're doing, and lets hope Gus can keep overperforming.

  16. THG looks good in the Wild sweater!
Wild fan appreciating that Dallas fans feel the same way about the dirty play and questionable calls. End of the day we are all hockey fans and only the fan base with the cup will be satisfied with the officiating.

  17. The Wild are an underrated team in a state with cursed sports that are incapable of ever winning a championship. I truly hope the wild can finally break the 116 season Minnesota sports drought, we deserve it.
