Dach will have time and patience now and be running with a ton of young gun skill guys. Pretty slick pick by Mtl I gotta say. Romanov is unplayable.
I'm not sure what people are upset about in comments. Weekes is talking recent history for Chicago. Toews and Kane were a big part of those Cup winning teams. There was a winning tradition and some talented guys that put Dach further down the lineup. That wasn't a good place to be post-dynasty. As for Montreal, they really haven't been a serious threat in the past 20 years. Yes, I know Montreal was in the final last year. We''re talking Cup wins though.

Sooo much better with Dach and Slafsky then if you have a young Shane Wright and Romanov out there. Good f'n move from the Habs war room! What the hell is everyone raving about Dach? The guy had 26 pts in 70 games and got embarassed by Makar this past season. At the rate of his production, he will be at the bottom six for the rest of his career
This is why you poach power forwards rather than draft them. Mtl did both bold move Cotton!
Why are people so exited about Dach… the dude had 26 points in 70 games last season,his third in the nhl, while averaging a bit over 18 min per games, that really bad. Just to compare on the same draft the habs drafted Caufield at 15 and he got 23 goals 43 points in 67 games averaging under 17 min per game with a very slow start. Dach is a massive bust no wonder Chicago traded him for a 13th pick.
