Do you think they just collectively get together and when no one actually saw what happened call something random? I’m curious if sometimes they just use the reaction of the crowd to make calls.

I believe the NBA and NHL refs all have a big ol meeting the week before playoffs. They come up with a masterplan to equally take turns fucking up calls each night, then switch it up completely the next game.
