I think it’s great. I was never sold on Elvis like so many others — especially after the 5 hour playoff game. Seemed like most people around here were on team Elvis, especially after Korpi fell off a bit with injuries and less than stellar play. The change of scenery seems to have done him good. I don’t think that he would have done as well here even if we had resigned him. Good for him, he’s taking full advantage of the opportunity he’s been given.

Vasilesky really is playing like shit though. Listening to the announcers say things like “99.9% of the time he has that one, WHAT IS HE DOING” and seeing him let seven in is insane. Hearing “he was out of position” is weird too.
Also to hear “but the defense lost some guys…..” from the same ones who told us “that’s no excuse to not win games”

Good for him. Playoff korpi is a beast
I know, I know, small sample size, but look at the teams that passed on him.
The Oilers would be crushing the Kings if they had Korpi. Toronto would be 6.3 goals saved above expected higher than where they are now.
