Alex kerfoot terrible
For the record, Auston Matthews only has 3 goals in 9 games, and he didn't score in 7 of them. That's not as bad as Kerfoot, but for the money he is being paid, it's probably worse. On top of this, he only has 2 assists and is a -1 in those same 9 games, which again is pretty pathetic for a 11+ million dollar cap hit that is supposed to be a "200-foot player".
I think Leaf fans like focusing on the wrong players, like Justin Holl, Bunting, Kerfoot, etc. when we have guys like Rielly and Matthews that are playing the shittiest hockey of their career at a time where the GM has decided to expend a lot of draft capital to actually do something in the playoffs.
And when the coach demotes a player that isn't as deserving of the demotion as a core player, I think that builds distrust and discord in the locker room. How could it not affect morale at all?
I don't want to be negative and I am not a hater, but objectively none of this is evidence for a successful playoff run. It's evidence for quite the opposite.
Kerfoot overplays himself and the play. He tries so hard he looks dumb.
Dubas worst trade was the Kadri deal. He lost big time and Kadri won a Cup. The Dubas fanboys still think Dubas is a good GM. 😂😂😂😂
Yea why the hell he's on the top 2 lines so much and he only got 7 goals with 1 being empty net. Just dum6. The leafs will be another 1st round exit if still continue to treat him like top 6 forwards. Leafs is a joke FR. How can u put a guy like that in your top 2 lines and it's not like there's no choice.
