Schmaltz was doing great in Arizona too just got injured. We’ll see how he does over a full seasons next year tho to see which player is more consistent
He is well on his way. We’ll see how he comes out of camp in the madhouse.
If anything? I hope he continues to get stronger n stronger. He could become such a monster if he puts on 15 more pounds.

i do wish that we kept Strome longer. but i do feel like we got an ok deal that included Schmaltz (who played very well 5 on 5 and PP) until he had a season ending injury. 🙁

2 players who didn’t do shit he get traded and funny how everyone says no one wants to play here, schmaltz was better than strome, Galchenyuk is working out just great, OEL developed good here, Keller is, garland is, adin hill is doing great, you guys label 2 players then assume we can’t develope, chychrun is panning out as top 4 D, get some h okey knowledge then start talking
As a coyotes fan my opinion is that we always try and play these young skilled guys with grinders and like strome they don’t score and then get shipped off and become quality players

It’s crazy too think sometimes, how sometimes a change of scenery can make a big difference. Before Strome was in Chicago, well…he was considered a bust. But awesome too see him do great in Chi-Town
Now you have to wonder if the Coyotes simply suck at developing their own prospects. Louis Domingue almost quit hockey altogether because of how the Yotes treated him, Dylan Strome broke out after floundering between the majors and minors, and Max Domi is a lot better as a Hab than he ever was as a Coyote. I would expect this level of incompetence from the Oilers, but from the Coyotes? Maybe this is why the Coyotes have been stuck in rebuilding mode for all these years.
3 1st round Arizona picks are on Chicago and showing promise. Strome and murphy had good yrs while perlini flashed some goal scoring late. Plus Enwhistle is in the minors who i believe was a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Arizona also gave up on Domi?? I wonder why.
Imagine if max domi kept the same pace all season, he’d probably have put them in the playoffs
