  1. The ferocity until the end was so impressive. No quit. If we're going to be taken out, it might as well be by the defending champs after forcing them to take us seriously. And the Avs are cool. I don't pay attention to fans. In a vacuum, man they're fun. Absolute respect even if I shout at the tv lol.

  2. solid effort from the Kraken. the Avs just have those elite guys and a team full of playoff experience and it shows at certain points of the game. Kraken lose their way and get pushed back on their heels on multiple different occasions while the Avs just cruise. giving a team like the Avs 3 or 4 odd man rushes is not gonna end well for you, especially when its MacKinnon and Rantanen getting them🤣 Kraken's number 1 priority this offseason should be to fix their powerplay. its fine against crap and average teams, but the big boys can snuff that crap out way too easily. next priority is faceoff bootcamp for Beniers and Wright, if theyre gonna be the spine of the team for years to come then they gotta win those crucial faceoffs like Bergeron, O'Reilly, and Barkov among many others always do. quasi elimination game on Monday. theyre either gonna have to play out of their minds or they need the Avs to shit the bed.

  3. Honestly though, give me Mackinnon, Rantanen, and Makar over MaDavid, Draisaitl, and Nugent-Hopkins any day of the week.

  4. Seattle is a good team. They play a similar game to the kings. Few more key players and they’d be really good. But the avs are simply the better team. Still doesn’t mean things can’t happen. Good games to any Seattle fans!

  5. First playoff game I've ever been to. Sucks Seattle lost but the place went crazy when they got 2 goals back to back. Playoff game atmosphere is something else

  6. Yup in over their heads. Super cute though, spunky little bastards. Gonna be a real problem one day soon. Play fast, skate. Like the avs but without a top winger, center, dman and really an amazing defense in general for facing a forecheck on their average nights.

  7. its hilarious that Kraken fans were calling for penalties when the Kraken powerplay is so bad. i was texting my dad who was at the game and saying they should just forego all their powerplays because they look way better at 5 on 5 lmao

  8. TBS is miles better than ESPN as far as camera angles and commentating. Just wanted to throw that in there

  9. Have to say this Kraken team doesn't go down easy. Even Mackinnon said tonight that so far this has been the hardest first round he's played in. So tip of the hat to the team. But glad to see the Avs gearing up

  10. The power plays have been negative on both sides this series with the short handed goals, lol.

  11. Putting Jones in over Grubauer is a huge gamble. Gru seems to need rest to be at his best, but if Jones can't get it together for one game, we will definitely lose that game since we're unlikely to outscore the Avs. Probably best to stick with Gru.

  12. By far the loudest CPA has been yet.

2nd loudest was Beniers’ first goal in his first game at home last year.

Our PP is SO bad it’s embarrassing.

Also annoying to cheer for a team that can only win when they get away from their fans.

  13. Playoff MacKinnon is real… Fast physical mean. 2 points a game… Best player in hockey right

  14. I dont believe the Kraken will change goaltenders…but they should! Get Jones to do one of his patented back to back shutouts.

  15. The Avs are 18-3 in the first round of the playoffs the last five years including this one. Pretty dominant….

  16. When a team is playing in their 1st ever playoff home game the atmosphere is crazy. Vegas a few years ago as well. A series that doesn't get talked about much is a series that IMO had the craziest atmosphere from both teams was Anaheim vs Phoenix in 1997. The 1st time a playoff series featured 2 brand new teams since the expansion year of 1967-68. I watched some of that series and the fans were insane in both arenas. Also Phoenix continued the "white out" traditional that their old team Winnipeg did (and now still does since they are back)

  17. that very late 2nd period to many men call on the avs has got to be the worst call ive seen all playoffs malgin was on the boards feet in the bench before cogs touched it linesy said all good but mr ref decieded to be the big guy and over rule his linesman unreal like wat was he even looking at ffs

  18. Newhook and Girard are going to give me heart failure, that third Seattle goal had me going wtf are they doing out there.

  19. Yes, yes they do… it would be unreal if grubaur won another game vs avs with current talent matchup. Avs know no other tender better. They should have made this point super clearly now and starting gru was a stupid gamble imo because of this. Sure he won one for them but it seems smarter to use other guy. Gru is good for sure but the avs practiced with him for years..

  20. The three stars being decided by the home team is silly. Beniers over mikko for second star 🤣

  21. As a Kraken fan, it’s looking like my prediction is coming true, that the Avs will take them down but Seattle will fight like hell the whole way. This has been a really good series

  22. Nothing against Seattle, but i think they're just in over their heads. It took a while but the Avs now playing like the team from last year. Too fast and too many weapons.

  23. Seattle's 4 lines are better than the Avs 2nd-4th lines. They are crazy fast and great depth. Happy to see my boys come out on top, but they're really working hard for it. GG Seattle fans!

  24. It was really nice of the Seattle fans to show the refs some love their first playoff game is Seattle in 100 years.

  25. Nice goal by the greatest hockey player in the world, Nathan McKinnon. Sorry Oilers McDavid is not the best.

  26. Gru played decently, it was just some great shots by the Avs that burned him. Particularly the blast from Makar. Doubtful any goalie could have stopped that one. I suspect Gru will be in goal again for game 4.

  27. Colorado got careless which hurt them a few times but for the most point Colorado made Seattle look silly.

  28. I've been worried all season about the loss of Burakovsky, Kadri, and Landeskog, and have questioned the Avs ability to be successful with 1 effective line, but damn, Mack and Rantanen took over tonight. In addition, I think the Avs have the best defensive corps in the league. They're starting to look scary again.

  29. The Kraken lost the 3rd period that is all. They may not win series but they showed they can and will make this a long series.

  30. The way Colorado responded in the third period makes me think there is no chance for upset. I hope I am wrong… Let's go Kraken!

  31. Coming from an Avs fan who knows Grubauers tendencies I think he's in net for game 4 but if Avs put 5 or more.on him again maybe go to Jones but idk if Jones makes that much of a difference tbh considering he's a cold goaltender who was from what I'm hearing coming back from a lengthy injury not that long ago but ig we will see

  32. Having a power play as anemic as Seattle's can become problematic because it encourages the opposition to play rougher knowing there likely won't be any consequences showing up on the scoreboard. Whatever happens with the Kraken in this series and beyond, they desperately need to fix their power play.

  33. Seattle would have a bit more of an edge if Burky was healthy also. Important to remember that Kraken have a high level player who is injured. Anyway, the Kraken can take at least one more game. They dearly need to get Geeks back on that second line. They also need to consider double shifting one of the top-line guys in a deeper line. But the long and short of it is that they absolutely need to find better chemistry across their top two lines.
