  1. I'm most impressed with how subtlety offensive Raymond is. It's all about positioning and reading the play. Composed and patient like a 30 yr old veteran. He's not spinning guys out of their jock straps in the corners or looping the O zone with the puck on a string. He just sees the play developing and makes the right pass, or gets himself into the right spot. He knows where his teammates are going to be and what the defenders are going to do, like he sees it happening in slo-mo. Very impressive for someone that young to have that kind of mind for the game

  2. Reminds me of Brayden Point. Not big in stature or dynamic in skating but sees the entire rink. Raymond makes plays because he finds the open areas and creates scoring. He's also good at stealing the puck. I hope this is a sign for a long successful career in Hockeytown.

  3. I want Caufield to win it but I'm gonna be pretty happy for Raymond if he was the one, what a talent!

  4. Raymond and Seider look like superstars but this team still needs a good pick this year. Can’t be worried about them playing well but this will likely be the last season we are in the lottery at all, truly hope we can get a center or a game breaking talent.

  5. Detroit might just come away with the best players out of both the 2019 and 2020 drafts… LGRW.

  6. Fedorov played as a 21 yo his 1st season
Marcel Dionne played as a 20 yo his 1st season
Abel played as a 20 yo his 1st season
Kozlov only played 7 games as a teenager

So yes its a very impressive "stat" however there isnt much company when it comes to playing as a teenager for the Wings

  7. "Lucas Raymond has a small chance to make the Red Wings this year"

Raymond "And I took that personally"

  8. They are all playing great! I couldn't be any happier with this team 6 games in and above .500 it's awesome! They are exceeding expectations in my opinion everyone is playing great and it all starts with the play of Larkin, Burtuzzi, Raymond and let's not forget how good Seider is playing and Leddy is really helping him grow I do believe.

  9. That's illustrious company to be keeping…..he's making me eat my words about whether he's a contender for the Calder or not and those words taste very nice indeed!! I do hope he can keep this up!!!!

  10. I watched the game with my grandmother last night. She watched the Red Wings win the cup in the 1950's with Howe. I started watching the Wings in 1989. It's been one hell of ride all these years. Couldn't be prouder to have them as my home team.

  11. Raymond is getting a lot of love and absolutely deserves it but there is also something to be said about seider already being our best defenseman. Wings fans have been waiting since Dylan larkin’s debut for players of this caliber. Yzerplan is truly taking form here

  12. Calm down people. He had an amazing game yes but Luke Schenn was amazing his first year.

  13. An elite playmaking winger is exactly what the wings have needed for some time. Kid is the real deal. So stoked. LGRW

  14. This guy was amazing in the SHL last year. He was creating space for himself in the offensive zone in very peculiar ways. It’s like he’s got a fifth sense.

  15. Around late 2018 Raymond was projected as the #1 overall for 2020.
Lafrenière has 24 points in 62 games
Raymond has 7 points in 6 games….Lucas could catch Alexis' point totals if this keeps going around 1/4th the games.
Yet with Bertuzzi sitting out Canadian games, Lucas will be hampered by that absence on the first line.

  16. 3 could be up for the Calder… granted Ned's start to the season hasn't been what we had hoped for… but when a goalie gets hot, look out!

  17. Raymond honestly might surpass larkin as my favorite current wing, just seeing the amount of effort and efficiency into not only being a fantastic goal scorer, but actually slotting into the team perfectly. He's almost always in a decent to great position, super fun to watch him play. Also knowing we have the monster Rasmussen to back him up. Been a wings fan since birth, still got my flag from the 98' cup, 1 year after my birth.

  18. As a Frölunda-fan I knew he would be a monster, I've seen him live many times in SHL and know he's gonna be something special, was actually disappointed that he was not listed as #1 in the draft.

  19. Sweden has so much insane talent right now, Raymond, Holtz, Eklund, Rosen, Lysell, Ollouson

  20. So, if the points continue as is, guaranteed seider is a Calder candidate with Raymond. Seider may even take it, considering he's a defenseman scoring at that pace.

  21. Larkin was 19 his rookie year after college. Had a good year but not exactly a 4 point type a guy that year. Larkin was the first teenager since yzerman to make the team.

  22. You were right about Lucas before the season started! It is fun to watch him and Sneider …Red Wings future is so bright! Lord Stanley will be seen by these two!

  23. Raymond has been absolutely Amazing. With that being said Mo has been a lil better he deservers a video as well

  24. have you seen how hot jack quinn and jj peterka are to start the ahl season? because holy its got us sabres fans feelin pretty optimistic

  25. just because the lastv time Yesserman got a 3 point game was in 85 doesnt mean he couldnt have done it multiple time before that

  26. Leggo! We need a update video on Edvinsson, Cossa, Johansson, and Soderblom!

They are all playing spectacular stat-wise, Edvinsson is looking like he might have a better year in the SHL than Sider and it’s only his draft + 1 year.

  27. Raymond needs to be careful in the corners near the boards……he’s already taken 2 boarding calls and I’d hate to see him get hurt…..
