The Vancouver Canucks defeated the Washington Capitals 4-2, with Elias Pettersson scoring two of the four goals. Other markers for Vancouver were scored by Bo Horvat and JT Miller, while Washington got goal support from Alex Ovechkin and Tom Wilson. Thatcher Demko edges out Ilya Samsonov in net, while the Canucks hopefully witness the start of the Elias Pettersson redemption tour.

He had one good game a couple months ago too and people said he was back as well. Don't get too ahead of yourselves.
The best part was when Grandpa Bruce put Elias out late in the game with the Caps net empty, trying to get him that hat trick goal. Didn't work, but it's still great to see Pettersson doing well and the coach rooting for him.
I like the Mackinnon/Draisaitl comparable (in terms of early issues) both those guys had ups and downs until about year 5 where the took off and became who we know them to be today. I think Petey is a legit star and will be a consistent PPG player I think he just needs 1 or 2 more seasons to really find his game.

striking difference between Bruce and Travis coaching style. Travis is so bent on having the players stick to details and playing the system, imagine a boss that just wants to talk productivity with you all day. But Bruce preaches, PREACH BRUCE PREACH.

Ian McIntyre is so out of touch with the players his questions for petey post game had obviously made petey frustrated. He even said he didn't think these would be the kind of questions he would get then looked away from the camera for a sec. Long story short. I dont like Ian McIntyre
