  1. Michkov is fantastic for sure. The question is do you use a top 10 pick on a guy who may never be able to come to North America? Because that's a very real possibility if things escalate further. Also given the incredible depth of this year's draft, particularly in the top 10, is it even worth the risk?

  2. His level of talent is undeniable. Question is: Do you want to sacrifice a crap season and a high draft pick (in a super talented class) on a player who may never put on your jersey? Tough call.

  3. Michkov is left handed, could put him on a line with Suzuki and Caufield and have goalies have no idea where the puck is coming from. I can see no problem with having both Caufield and Michkov on the team, it's like having two Caufields on our top two lines. If Michkov gets taken higher then its Smith/ The best player available (Maybe Benson). If we drop from 5th overall which is far more likely than jumping up or staying at 5th, we could draft David Reinbacher, and fill up our need for a RHD.

  4. Michkov is an outstanding player but i don’t get how anyone can feel comfortable picking him in the 1st round when no one has any idea when he’ll come over or if he ever will come over

  5. Michkov will likely have to serve in the military for several years. I wouldn't tell
    Risk the pick.

  6. I listen to the front and nationwide podcast every episode and have never heard any discussion around the Canadiens and who they like. AP did say he believes the Jackets would take Smith over Michkov given timeline and position. What a weird back and forth of miscommunication.

  7. We had such bad luck with Russian players… either we didn't train them properly or we traded them for nothing.

  8. Arizona is the only team that really can afford to draft Michkov. Indeed, they have the 6th pick and there are stuck in a small arena for still a few more years and also has a lot of good draft picks in the next drafts coming up. By the time they get their new arena, Michkov might be ready to come over… because it is just a matter of time before we see him. It might be in 3 years or 5 years like Kaprisov or a few more years but he will come for sure.

  9. In what world do hockey journalists live to use sport30 as a source its literally been a hoax spreader since it started. I love Tony but come on.

  10. I think I'm taking the chance on him if he's available when habs pick. He could be a game breaker when he's able to come over. Could line up awesome for this core and the state of the rebuild when he comes over…. if he comes over

  11. Yes, a team with Michkov, Caufield, Mesar, Simoneau, Hutson etc in the playoffs will go far. 🤣

  12. This site love to make huge news with nothing 😂 They also really love using your Thumbnails

  13. Habs building up Michkov in the hopes that teams ahead of them will take him, leaving someone they're really interested available to them – potentially. The game within the game

  14. Will he come to the draft venue on draft day? If he does then he wants to play in the NHL.
