My guess is that Chicago takes Michkov. They have shown that they don't mind sacrificing the present for the future. As a rebuilding team, they should have been happy to keep Dach, but they were more interested in tanking for a higher pick. Drafting Michkov will help them tank again next season as well.
Michkov is litterally the next ovi. Anyone who skips on him better be picking someone great.
Bedard, Fantilli, Carlsson, Smith, Benson, Michkov
YOU GUYS ARE LIVING ON fANATSY iSLAND……. OVECHKIN IS 6-3 / 230 POUNDS. … HE HAS TAKEN ABUSE AND GIVEN MORE THAN RECIEVED. MICHKOV IS A SHRIMP AT 5-9/170 POUNDS .. He will be lucky to last 7 years in the NHL. ….SIZE AND SKILL MATTERS. I REPEAT SIZE AND SKILL MATTERS. …… SHRIMPS GET EATEN UP BUY BIG FISH.
I don't think Mitchkov goes top 10. You heard it here first.
Go with Will Smith, big 2 way centre.
Im all on board with Michkov! But lid one to hear Bedards pint of view in what he thinks of his most fierce competitor
send a large enough bribe to russia and they'll let him go. that's how it works over there.
as for putin saying no, who even knows if he'll be alive, much less in power, in 2026? if the ukraine war lasts that long someone will assassinate him. if he loses in ukraine, he might well be couped.
The biggest concern for Michkov is his availability. With him being stuck in Russia for 2 years, his time to the Nhl is longer than most.
It's also important to consider that the KHL recently said they are intending to implement rules regulating Russian players who want to move to North America. Which is an ambiguous statement, but it could be a big deterrent for teams.
Come on guys, Sharks draft him. Look great in Teal.
San Jose IS NOT IN A COMPETE NOW WINDOW. cmon bro, at least do your research. We are absolutely rebuilding.
Imagine the fuss russia will put up with a REALLY good player like mithchkov https://youtu.be/R5kvgSuc4Ps
It’s weird that hardly anyone is talking about how Michkovs dad died under mysterious circumstances in the months leading to the draft and how that might effects him coming to North America.
Bobrov's father is a consultant for the Michkov's team the SKA St. Petersburg. So whatever he thinks about drafting or not Michkov, at least he will be well informed I assume. Besides, it's not like the other options at 5-7 are miles apart as far as talent and potential. If available I'd rather pick Will Smith and not have to deal with the Russian factor.
Russia is about to make it extremely difficult for players to leave Russia apparently. I would pass
Russia on world stage is a question mark so even if we do pick him it will be ,not based on what we need,it will be based on maximum value,or the pick could be traded with another asset to do something else …I believe the management will make the best calls
Connor Bedard is at another level. Stop it.
I would be funny and cool if washington capitals get Michkov bc he would be joining the capitals just as ovi finished his career
If Montreal has the 5th pick and Michkov is still available, I think the Habs should draft him.. In three years, Michkov is only 21 yrs old and may come into his first year in the NHL and score 60 goals.. The KHL team that owns his rights might be willing to let him go sooner if the Habs pay them a lot of money…
