Richter was my favorite childhood player.
I think Shesterkin game is similar to the way Vladislav Tretiak played in the 70's. Maybe Shesky took some lessons from him growing up.
As a Rangers fan I gladly admit we are spoiled! Richter is right we have been very fortunate!
God the rangers need another cup with this bloodline.

Henrik never won a Cup in NY…someone cutting onions in here. He really deserved one, or more.
If there was one man who absolutely deserved the cup itโs the King. He was 2 games away. What a shame.
Henrik isnt half the Ranger Richter was. Henrik used his leverage to suck every last dime he could out of the organization, knowing full well he was hurting the teams chances on adding to the roster each year. When his skills eroded and he could no longer compete at the NHL level, he sat on the bench like a sad faced clown while earning top 5 goalie money and giving them ebug results. Then this Benedict Arnold signs with the Caps. We ain't forgot about you Hank, you're a flip flopper. More concerned how he looked in GQ than he did in Ranger blue.
