oh please. Anyone with a brain knows that Tkachuk destroys Ullmark unless there is some crazy luck on Ullmarks side. No one wants to see Ullmark get concussed with a real fist to the head… a soft puck shot to the helmet almost knocks the guy out for fucks sake…

These guys know the line when it comes to what gets said on the ice. It’s not the fans’ job or the media’s job or the network’s job to determine what is acceptable to say in the heat of the game. The players will handle it.

Good comment by Marchand about mics on the bench and the TV guy between the benches, get them out of there. And while they’re at it stop these ridiculous in game interviews with the coaches during TV timeouts, the questions are so stupid and you can just see that the coaches are tired of them especially at this time of year.

A lot of people hate Marchand but every hockey fan has got to love him and his answer about the hot mics. As a fan, I would love to hear all the chirps but it goes against trying to “sell the NHL as a product”. Does anyone know what he means by “it goes against our agreement”? Is that an NHLPA/broadcasting rights and marketing issue, or is it just an unwritten rule kind of thing?
