Devils Erased Their 2-0 Deficit & Have Reclaimed Home-Ice Advantage…What’s Been Going Right?

We have a brand new series…The New Jersey Devils erased their 2-0 deficit and have reclaimed their home-ice advantage. Jack Hughes got things started and the momentum just continued to pick up from there. While it hasn’t been perfect, it seems like the Devils are starting to settle in as the playoffs progress. Jonas Siegenthaler also had a statement performance.

  1. After the first 2 games every NJ Devils fan knew they were not seeing the same team that had taken 3rd place in the NHL standings. This team went through a learning process and along with Akira Schmid are starting to adapt & are playing a much better game. There are still things they can improve on, but it's great to see this young team come into their own and tie this series up.

  2. Rangers suck and their fans got extorted last night at the shittiest arena in hockey. Devils are just better LGD game 5 baby

  3. LETSSS GOOO DEVILS! 😈🖤🔥🔥 I believe we can beat The Rangers! Rangers look tired 😴 as hell also Ryan Callahan Ex Ranger said last night that The Rangers look like they played 50 games in this series lol 😂 THIS TEAM CAN BEAT ANYONE! LGDDDD!

  4. Can I just say. Dont bring Meier back. It is sad to say but he is a bust for the Devils. It is funny how Wood takes the blame for the penalties but it is Meier who takes them every single game. And the did not score a single freaking point yet

  5. A lot of distractions at home. I remember Lou used to keep them in a hotel for home games on some runs.

  6. Not sure why you’re confident… the Rangers played their worst game in the series and they were in the game until the last minute…. HAHAHA , Rangers fans are used to this, you Devils fans have a lot to learn 😂

  7. experience or none. records and all throw everything out in any sport when it comes to rivalries. Especially in the playoffs 😂

  8. Palat has been awful and a lead weight around JHs neck. Great win , Very little line chemistry. Lindy has to stop forcing Palat on JH because Fitz signed him to that contract. He's not fast enough of skilled enough to play with him.

  9. Who would've thought we'd even be here after last Thursday, it feels so satisfying to see the Devils pick themselves up off the mat and dust themselves off.

I was hoping to see the Devils fly up and down the ice because that's the way they've had success all year-long but if they have to clog up the middle of the ice and pick their spots, so be it, I'll take the wins no matter what.

Jack Hughes doing Jack Hughes Things, Nico Hischier threading the needle, Jonas Seeing-Eye-Goal-enthaler with the game-winner and young Akira Schmid rising to the occasion, you love to see it.

Not to mention Marino and Bahl locking it down. Now we need to see Bratt, Meier and Mercer get back on track!

  10. Ugh, that Lebron banner in the back ground is annoying ……not sure who's worse Lebron or Crosby, such cry babies and whiners in their leagues.

  11. Excuse me, but yes I was one of those people who said it was over and yes I admit I was wrong. But don't be that guy who tells people "Oh if you didn't believe after we got curbstomped twice then don't root for us now" I've been with us for almost 30 years I'll come back if I want.

  12. Did I think we were done after Game 2? Yes. I thought it was going to be a sweep. Not because the team is bad or I don't believe in the players, but because Lindy made mind numbing stupid decisions like sitting Siegs.

Do I get off the bandwagon with this team? No. Never. Did I think this series was over and was I ANGRY after Game 2? Yes. I spent hundreds of dollars in the first 2 games to watch them straight up not show up and not be competitive. It wasn't encouraging. I also didn't want to see us suffer our only sweep in franchise history to the freaking Rangers. They would get that honor forever and you KNOW that arrogant, smug fanbase would rub it in our faces every chance they get. I had to sit with obnoxious Rags fans and watch them chant This Is Our House. That made me sick to my stomach. But I always had this glimmer of hope that they could turn this around. They did.

To say that those who doubted the team after Game 2 jumped off the bandwagon and should not jump back on is unfair. I was angry and resigned and conceded the series, yes, but I NEVER get off the bandwagon with this team. I've bled red and black since I first went to a game in 2007. I will always cheer for this team and I knew our future was bright even if we got swept. This season was a success before Game 1 of the playoffs even started. But the lineup decisions in Game 2 and the decision to abandon their play style for a harder hitting game they weren't suited to made me irate. Because I KNOW this team can win when they play their game, and I KNOW this team is capable of better than that putrid performance. That's even more infuriating than accepting that the team is just not as good as the other team. I didn't think we would get swept because I didn't think we were good enough, I thought we would get swept because we got BADLY outcoached BY GERARD GALLANT. That's unacceptable.

My mistake was to doubt them. That's a mistake I won't repeat and regardless of what happens, I'm PROUD of them. I will be there Game 5 as well and I will cheer my head off. This team deserves it. LETS GO DEVILS!!!

  13. Ya but sonething doesnt look right. The majority of the playoff teams look like they are more intense. They only have 1 5 on 5 goal which is payhetic at this point in the playoffs. Other teams have multiple people stepping up and scoring. Outside of hughes the teams dead, Nico nothing, Mier nothing, Palat nothing. They are not blocking shots. You can just see clearly this is gonna end in disapointment.
