Matt Dumba could be worth exploring. He’s been a minus player at five-on-five each of the last five seasons, but this was also his healthiest season in a while. Dumba has familiarity with Jordan Greenway and Alex Tuch, so playing with them again might appeal to him.
Connor Clifton had a solid season for Boston with 20 even-strength points and a plus-17 rating at even strength. He also had a career high in minutes, so there is still some potential for growth with Clifton.

Greenway is a beloved teammate. Granato knows him so he can mold him and he was not healthy. Sabres don’t need 20 goals. Sabres need him to play a tough game and be reliable defensively and on the penalty kill.
