Not sure what’s true in this case. I know Sheldon Keefe said, “of course, we have that type of information available to us” when talking about Lalonde’s analysis. I think you can read this a few different ways. He could privately disagree but is just trying to get into Vasilevskiy’s head, he could mean that he has this general type of analysis available to him but not necessarily this particular piece (while still trying to get into Vasilevskiy’s head), or he could be agreeing with Lalonde that they share in their analysis (still trying to get into the head) and Cooper is trying to protect his goaltender. I think the only thing I’m sure of is that Sheldon Keefe is trying to get into his head, but that’s obvious.

In case y’all were curious, we went 2-2 against the Lightning this year, and 1-1 against Vasilevskiy.
We scored 2 goals on Vasilevskiy on December 6th, but he also had a 45 save shutout against us on February 25th.

I think Newsy could have been less detailed. Instead of saying “we did an internal study that found Vasi sucked here” he should have said “Leafs are doing a good job making it harder for Vasi to track from distance.”
That being said, I don’t think this is information other teams don’t already know. Plus Cooper isn’t going to come out and say “Yea they are exploiting a critical weakness.”
