On a new episode of the “Up In The Blue Seats” podcast, Jake Brown, Mollie Walker and Larry Brooks open the show reacting to the Rangers dropping two straight home games as the Devils tie the series at 2-2. They discuss what the heck happened in the two losses, the struggles on the power play, whether it’s time for Rangers fans to panic and what needs to change for the Blueshirts to turn it back around. Grammy-winning opera singer and Rangers national anthem singer John Brancy then joins the show. Brancy talks about singing the anthem at MSG, how it all started, opera singers he would want to collaborate with and Jake and John each sing a snippet of “New York, New York” in their opera voice.

  1. Lets be brutally honest here. The Rangers shit the bed. No grit. 2nd to every puck. Lame on the boards and corners. Utter shit on face-offs and shooting. Terrible at exiting defence. No idea whatsoever how to stop Hughes and Co`. Shall I write it down for Turk????? Our big players are now playing hide-and-seek instead of play-off hockey. Too many prima donnas and not enough grafters. Will we turn it back around? Not a chance. They are too good now. And if this comes back to bite me……I`ll gladly take all the abuse I get 👍😁

  2. Devils were nervous and shell shocked the first 2 games. Schmid has played fantastic and the Devils are outplaying the Rangers. Devils are winning board battles, and scoring timely goals. That is how you win Championships!

  3. Devils adjusted to slow the break aways and shots. They are grinding and able to receive Rangers physical play. Plus when Devils attack they swarm as a team or breakaway to JH.

  4. To your question, I was hoping after the first 2 games that I would finally not have to worry about the outcome of this one but it seems that the Rangers can't win a series in less than 7 games and it has been like that for more than 10 years, give or take, whatever the roster they put on the ice year in and year out.
But, to be honest, being "worried" is part of being a Rangers fan and I have a lot of experience.

  5. They are soft, no killer instinct, no physicality, no fighters, afraid to go in front of the net, awful on faceoffs, play east west hockey. Fire Gallant after this latest collapse and hire Barry Trotz who is waiting for a call. Rethink this roster because although the fancy passing east west hockey is good in the regular season it vanishes come playoff time when the ice shrinks and you gotta get dirty tip goals in front of the net, even if they were to beat the Devils no way they beating Carolina 2 years in row or beating Toronto who is on a mission. Their roster is loaded with overrated finess players who play with no toughness whatsoever.

  6. End of the day, the Devils adjusted their system to what the Rangers were doing. Were the Devils probably nervous in their first playoffs, sure. It's not that the Rangers were "flat" or lack of urgency or lack of effort. They got outcoached and frankly dont appear to have the speed to compete for pucks or move the puck fast enough.

  7. Lindy Ruff; well, they did this, lets do this=win

Turkey; hmm they've adjusted, lets keep doing the same=lose

Too bad we have to lose to the Devils. At least we get it done early

  8. How can u guys say not makin a move on the PP teresenko needs more ice time. Not pat
    Kane. Bottom line. The favortism
    Of pat kane better not
    Cost us the cup
W his soft play and turnovera

  9. Lol no surprise that Raggie fans and NY media are still living in their own little Rangers are superior bubble and just didn't play their game. How about giving the Devils some credit? You know they were the higher seed and projected favorite to win this series. Who knows what happens these 3 games, but still acting like #1 Rangers are taking on a team that squeaked by into the playoffs is a little funny. Devils were 1 point away from winning the Metro.
