* Bennet softly tapping ullmark… Probs would have ended up sending them both off
* “Playoff hockey” the refs aren’t going to send someone off with under a minute in a tied game unless there is blood
* Referree bias. Probably everyone’s favorite reason and there is definitely some truth to it but it’s not the full story
* The refs all around haven’t exactly been great this postseason. Not awful but not great. So on par with the usual
* McAvoy has been getting away with running all over the ice by both the refs and the cats. It isn’t changing in game 5.
The best they can do is come out and try to weather the storm. They need to get a lead and hang on for ***six periods***. If they can do that we get more bonus hockey

There are guys that play rough in a calculated way.
Gudas for example, he makes some questionable plays but he know when and how to do it. That’s important because it means he won’t get baited into anything.
Tkachuk and Marchand are both smart about it now, too. They weren’t always.
McAvoy is showing that he loses his composure here. That’s going to come back to bite him.

Anybody have a video of the Bennett holding penalty from the first? I want to see a side by side with this ax chop

This is much worse than the crosscheck they called on Cousins the prior game that led to the first goal on the PP

Wonder how this post would do in r/hockey

Because it’s the bruins and everyone knows they get special treatment

Isn’t Bennet acting here? Doesn’t look like McAvoy gets his hand – doesn’t mean it isn’t a penalty but refs sick of the theatrics?

Because it a Panthers player. If it was reversed I’m 90% sure it’s called
