  1. I’m going with the momentum picks tonight. Bruins, Wild, Kings.
As far as the Isles-Canes series goes, I’ll keep the 3-1 pattern alive.

  2. Kings will go up 3 games to 1 tonight. McChoke will be a minus again tonight.

  3. NHL is still failing to showcase their product at the most important time. Only one playoff game has been available live on ESPN+ so far. Too many people no longer have cable. NHL should blaze the trail and accept modernity and set a trend. All of these games I would love to watch but can't because they refuse to adapt.

  4. Should Dallas make lineup changes tonight. Here's my suggestion petrali Tuffy 4bt Winger switch. Harley or Lundqvist with Essa. Move Ryan Suter back put a third put Colin Miller Back on Top

  5. Either use the instigator rule, or do away with it. It CANNOT be casually ignored because the ref is worried about giving one team too much of an advantage. The rules are getting too complicated. Time to clean shit up.

  6. QOTD:
"Expectations are a dangerous thing to have. . .especially when they're NOT FULFILLED." Leafs will lose in 7.

  7. Due to Morrissey's unfortunate injury, when the Jets do lose this series, it should crystalize to the ownership group that Cheveldayoff needs to go. The Jets needed to add a top 4 blueliner at the deadline, and Cheveldayoff once again sat on his hands and did nothing. And now that decision will come back to haunt the Jets as the worst case scenario has happened, with their best all-around defenseman out for the rest of the series. Yes, it's the next man up, but this isn't like the Avs losing Makar, but still having Toews, Girard and Byram or the Rangers losing Fox, and still having Trouba, Miller and Schneider. For the Jets, it's literally been Morrissey and the five other guys.

  8. I didnt understand that and i didnt understand how igor got a penalty meanwhile timo meir fell on him and hit him
Rangers sucked on pp last night but regardless how do the refs figure that out. Mind boggling to me

  9. The Nichushkin news is very disconcerting. As others have pointed out he went straight to the airport and the worry is he may have gone back to Russia, likely to Chelyabinsk where his family is from. That’s a lot of travel implying a return would take weeks rather than days. Further, the Avs had a promising Russian d-man prospect who came over early to play for the eagles then suddenly returned to Russia without team approval and never returned. The Avs released him from his contract so he could play for Ak Bars in the KHL but no explanation was ever provided. Just hope Nuke and his family are ok and that we see him back in an Avs jersey soon.

  10. I wonder how much players attitudes about retribution in the moment on the ice would change if they had any confidence at all in DPS taking care of the situation appropriately. If I were a player, I'd view DPS as a complete joke (as I do as a fan) and I'd feel like I HAD to take matters in to my own hands to protect my teammates.

If I were King of the League, I would fire every single ref and the entirety of the DPS' senior (decision making) staff.

  11. If we are going to talk about what "should have been" there are so many instances of penalties called either way that straight up weren't. Crosschecking a guy in the face isn't 5 anymore, it's 2. Boarding a guy by putting him in a dangerous spot, intentional or otherwise, isn't a penalty at all. Not to mention a disallowed goal because someone wearing black and white lost their glasses.

We can't talk about what should have been for one incident without looking at everything else that happened, that's picking favorites.

  12. The DPS just came out with a fine against Lafferty for his crosscheck to Colton. Of course the fines come out against Toronto. There were definitely other situations in other games that could have easily been fined and weren't. Not saying he didn't earn that fine but I am saying there could have and probably should have been other fines handed out to other players in other series' as well. Ah well, what can you do except pay it and move on to the next game. 🤷

  13. For the Wild – Stars game the only thing I believe can be predicted is that Oettinger will allow at least one goal and there will be a lot of hits.

  14. Call the rulebook, every minute, every game, regular season, playoffs, cup.

  15. Winnipeg without Ehlers and Morrisey and still almost pulled off a world class comeback (or an all-time epic choke by VGK). Hard to see them winning the series now, poor Jets fans.

  16. Stamkos in the post game said they should’ve won and really didn’t wanna give credit to the leafs for winning and he’s the most spoiled player I’ve seen! Dude acts like he didn’t win those cups in a row.

  17. My two "least-favorite" teams are playing today, Carolina and Minnesota. I don't want to dislike them, it seems to help the teams I dislike. But I do. Worst case Playoffs scenario for me: Carolina and Minnesota in the Cup final.

  18. Surprised about the Stamkos aggression – can't call it a fight. Definitely should have been an instigator call. Good example of how referees control games.

  19. As a Flames fan, normally can’t stand the oilers, but it’d sad seeing them not live up to their potential. McDavjd deserves the spotlight of appearing in the finals
