Dobson put out 51 points. Better points than Chabot, Werenski and Chychrun. AAV is not going to be below 4,5 per for bridge deal. It could be closer to 6. Also trade value is much more. Your package+ 2024 1st rounder+ 1 top prospect. We should still go for him for that price.
Ah yes the New York Islanders who are in win now mode are going to trade one of their best defenseman who just so happens to be 21 years old and just had a 51 point season, for your garbage picks/prospect lmao
This has to be one of the dumbest fucking trade proposals I've ever seen. You want to make the focus of your trade an AHL defensemen who is the same age as Dobson, drafted in the 7th round, mind you, who is generally listed as your 10-15th best prospect. Oh, and a bunch of garbage picks that are essentially useless.
Ask yourself something when you propose a trade. Why would the other team want to do this? Because aside from new ownership blowing up the team like it was the movie Major League to get them to move, I can't think of a single damn reason the Isles would consider this for half a second.
Also, a 2 mil bridge deal? Dude, you make Mike Milbury look like a genius GM.
While I don't think this trade would ever happen, I'm not going to sht on your effort. I'd love it if we looked at Dobson and tried to find a way to bring him over.
So you're ready to overpay for Chychrun and underpay to get Dobson? That will be a big if, a young Right shot D that has first pairing potential and thus the type of player are highly sought in the league. They'll more likely ask for Thompson or JBD, a first rounder and maybe another forward prospect. That is if they don't ask for both JBD and Thompson with that first. If the price is that high, Dorion might be able dump Zaitsev. But again, I think that Dorion wouldn't go for it as he'd trade his D depth. And 2 million for Dobson? I doubt that he'll accept anything under 4 and that is why the Islanders still haven't signed him yet.
I hate to burst your bubble here and on the other video. Most teams are going to be ready to get maximum return even for rights. And please, don't get me wrong, Chychrun or Dobson would be great additions in Ottawa. But I don't think that Dorion will be able to hit a grand slam with Lou and undersign Dobson to 2 million a year.
More than likely Sens will stay pat with the players they got now. Would be horrible if they brought in someone like PK Subban that can be a cancer in the dressing room to a 1y, 1 million contract. Being a cancer might be the reason why he's still unsigned?
