  1. 3 of their top core were injured for 2nd half of this season & playoffs. The core is changing – Wheeler is aging, Buff retired after injuries, and Trouba was traded – and since January – 2 to 3 of the core were injured. Jets have 3 top USA prospect & at 50 % process of a rebuild – they had an ok season. Losing Buff was hard to replace.

  2. At one time the Jets were one of the most feared teams in the NHL. Now they’re a team of powder puffs.

  3. Byfuglien quit playing hockey 4 years ago. That’s a million years in the NHL. Current group caused both Paul Maurice and Rick Bowness to throw up their hands. There are deep issues among that core group that go beyond missing a player or two.

  4. The player mix was not the right one but the main reason is the coach. When you hire a coach that as never won anything and as missed the playoffs most of his coaching career then don't be surprised if your team plays like a loser. What is wrong with the NHL teams on always hiring the same coaches that have never won anything like they will all of a sudden be the miracle behind the bench.

  5. What went wrong is bringing back toxic players who dont want to be here expecting different result.
Keep bowness he knows locker room who cares.
Maybe bring in Weekes,Nichol,Hextall,Granato/Schelling,Mellanby as GM and include bowness on decisions move on get picks.
Start new core keep guys like Lowry,Morrissey, Perfetti,Lambert,Mcgroarty,Heinola,Lucius. Make Lowry Captain.

What youll get for whoever wants out scheifele,Dubois,Neidereitter,Pionk,Stanley,Samberg,Ehlers,Connor,Schmidt, Dillion,Barron,Appleton,Hellebuyck will be alot

Imo fans cant be upset if team is young trending in new direction core its better then same old with Chevaldayoff since 2011.

  6. Jets went downhill as soon as they fired the peanut vendor guy from section 14. Ya, he kinda mumbled a bit. But he always delivered the goods in a timely manner, with a confident grin.
You just can’t replace guys like that.

  7. Everyone harping on Friedman for bringing up Big Buf. That was a complete shock when he left Winnipeg, hurt the culture, and they got nothing back for his departure. Laine, botched, got bullied by Blake Wheeler. When did that happen? Once he left, that leadership core, and future changed immediately. Bullying in the locker room? Don’t take my word for it, this is all aired out dirty laundry. Paul Maurice couldn’t even get these guys back on the saddle, even with one of the best American goaltenders of all time, playing Vezina trophy hockey. Just like Anaheim wasting John Gibson, and Montreal with Carey Price, goaltending isn’t an issue. Unless the goalie is a Pos too, I’ve heard nothing, but cold crap out of Winnipeg, for about 4 years. Big contracts getting handed out. Patrick Laine, 50 goal scorer Superstar, gets bullied out of Winnipeg despite best friend and fellow Fin Ehlers. Blow that team up, bullying in the NHL, not the first rumour connected to Wheeler. Big Buf either played a part in that, or didn’t. He left the team. They’ve been a dangling toe nail ever since, holding on for dear life, spineless, no push back or accountability, is my guess plus toxic dressing room.
