In the last game, Samsonov made a lot of saves and tried very hard, but the team played poorly defensively. I think it's worth giving Samsonov a rest, Vasilevsky will not have enough strength.

Samsonov over commits with every save … Woll is the more confident Goalie in the crease of the two. Keefe should have considered Woll as the starter awhile ago! The team starts off every game mentally not ready with him in the net wait first 10 mins to see if he’s actually gonna save some tough shots then decide okay he seems alright tonight let’s actually give it a go… Woll on other hand is the first young goalie I’ve ever seen the Leafs play who has Felix Potvin like presence in the net and the team plays with more energy with him there… Because WOLL helps us ignore HOLL !
Samsonov was scored on too many times while he was wildly out of position. Unacceptable as an NHL goalie.
Murray was our main, and then they tried playing sammy because, i dont remember. But now he's our main. They should at least TRY playing Joseph Woll.
Lets not get all pessimistic here … Samsonov won 2 overtime games where he outplayed Vasilevskiy. He lets OT goals in those and Tampa has already won the series 4 games to 1.
Pretty sure Vasi is not focused on weak goals he lets in …just gets back to business like he showed in game 5.

Samsanov has made some key saves when it counted to keep them in the game. He hasnt been terrible persay he needs to really watch his rebound contol.

Vasilevsky has also let in some soft goals this series. Leafs fans are just trauma conditioned to see the same repeating pattern.

Blaming a game on a goalie is just showing that you don't understand how hockey works. There is five players in front of him that made errors if it gets to a shot, but ultimately you just focus on the mistake of the goalie. And no, lets not forget about the good saves he made, because of course if you tunnel vision on his mistake, he looks like a bad player, everyone would. Its so dumb to look at two shots of a hundred and after you don't talk about the situation that led to those shots. Wanting from a goalie to be perfect at any situations is not a critique, because nobody can do that.
