  2. Relieving and exhilarating win by canes. Canes down svech and terreveinen but continue to find a way Pacoreitty only played 5 games. Very resiliant canes team. Anderson really awesome game new he could do it

  4. I feel bad for sorokin. Dudes an elite goaltender but isles need to add another top 6 forward to get taken seriously. The coach needs to balance the team instead of playing a defensive 1st mindset.

  6. So back in the day, I was an enormous Islanders fan, I'm talking Nystrom, Tonneli, Bossy, Trottier, etc.
I still have my Islanders Jersey with Nystrom's name and number on it.
I can barely skate, I've played floor hockey maybe twice, however, I do come from a hockey family, have been watching for a long time and love the sport.
What I witnessed tonight, with the exception of Sorokin, was a team that played frenetically. They had more than a few beautiful opportunities, but blew it…each time. They played like rookies and the better team won.

  7. Do people in NY not wear jerseys? Crowd looked like they were wearing casual shirts lol.

  10. As a canes fan I am obviously really glad we won this game, but also I feel pretty bad for Sorokin because he is a PHENOMENAL goalie and his season ended on a really lucky shot that he couldn't have really done anything about.

  11. Sorokin has a bright future ahead of him. I think we'll be seeing more of those Islanders next season after nearly going the distance with a tough Canes squad.

  15. Terrible goal to let in, and to lose a series on that goal is even worse. Add that to some of the soft goals he gave in the early games of the series, and he'll be thinking about those all summer.
