The Talking Point: Is Vasilevskiy’s playoff aura gone?

Andrei Vasilevskiy has a 4.22 GAA and a .853 save percentage over the first three games for the Tampa Bay Lightning, and hasn’t been up to his usual sparkling playoff standard against the Maple Leafs so far this series. TSN Hockey analyst Martin Biron breaks down Vasilevskiy’s performance to this point.

  1. The lightning have rode him into the ground. They haven’t had a viable backup for what 3 years now? AT LEAST? How many games has he played over the past 4 seasons compared to everyone else? Dudes fuckin tired.

  2. I believe Vaselesky has an eye problem !
I think he is near sighted !
That means his long range eye sight is weak !
That's why he is letting so many goals in this yr !
    DML.

  3. Leafs need to develop that Killer Instinct they had been lacking in previous years. If they do this, they'll go beyond the first round 100%

  4. On the heels of that comment about his vision problems as Canadian fans, we have all admired him for many years. After his ankle injury, he may be taking something for pain that is not allowing him to play like his usual self. His "pep" and "go- get-em" attitude is also gone due to tiredness and for sure if you look at his eyes, they are not as open and bright as they always are- rather looking sleepy when camera pans in…he is human after all but such a shame as the rest of the Lightening players really had stepped up their game in both Game 3 and 4 with the lead..it remains to be seen if Vassy really can stage a come-back in Game 5…for his sake, we still hope he does…

  5. 850 SAVE PERCENTAGE LMAO. 80S SCORING WWAS THE HIGHEST IN NHL HISTORY AND THE GOALIES OF THE 80S HAVE HAD A BETTER SAVE PERCENTAGE THEN THIS GUY LMAO
