BOSTON, MA — The Bruins lost Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Florida Panthers on Friday. The two teams will now play a winner take all Game 7 after Boston held a 3-1 series lead.
After the game, Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery stated that “every player is under review.” This includes star goaltender Linus Ullmark, who has struggled in recent games for Boston.
Montgomery did mention that he considered a goaltending change during the game on Friday. However, he stuck with Ullmark, even as the Vezina Trophy favorite allowed six goals.
“I looked at him in the eyes a few times when he came back to the bench and I looked at the way his eyes were looking and he looked intense, and he looked keen,” Montgomery explained.

There's a lot of speculation from everyone including myself, but I think the main person to blame for the way that this series has unfolded is none other than the head coach, Jim Montgomery.

Most of the mistakes are coaching playing Clifton and forbert at all in the 3rd after how bad they played was insane, Making Ullmark play game 5 and 6 at 40% when Swayman is 100% and well rested was also insane Please play are best players in the biggest games, btw hall only 12 minutes played WTF??

Gotta star Swayman game 7. He can handle the pressure, that’s not a worry. The boys need to start clicking fast off the bat in the first period or we’re done.
I honestly don't think the team is playing bad, if anything we've been out playing Florida. Not saying we've been perfect. With the turnovers and some defensive mistakes. But we've been the better team overall. We should've won the last 2 games. Without a doubt. Ullmark let's up 2 questionable goals last game and let's up another one after we get a shorty. Something is obviously up with Ullmark right now and I think we need to make a change. I'm not trying to be a typical hater on a goalie but seriously, Ullmark is not himself right now. I say put Swayman in it's getting ridiculous. We can't get one timely save outta Ullmark right now.

I really hoped we'd clinch in game 5, when we didn't, I didn't have high hopes for game 6. Florida lost 2 at home already, they needed to make a statement. Now we are sitting in in a position where Florida has momentum and can sniff a win. TIME TO STEP UP.
I honestly didn't think it was our worst game this series, but the defensive mistakes damn hurt. I must say I loved seeing Jim's frustration and anger on the bench after letting in the PP goal right after we scored the short handed.
Pasta showed up tonight, Bertuzzi, Marchand, Bergeron etc all having an impact.
Defence failed tonight. Too many pucks coming back out of our zone, too many open slots, too many sloppy turn overs inside our zone.
I really hope we can bring it home in game 7. God it will suck having a 1st round exit and I am not ready for the season to be over.
WE NEED TO SHOW EMOTION. We need to show some heart, some aggression, some grit. F*cking take Florida's head off and stop with this soft play. Hard, aggressive, fast. Connect plays and win battles.

Panthers fan here I respect the shit out of you guys and your coaching staff. I know you all think swayman is the clear choice for game seven but he lost you guys the two games against Florida in the regular season and I think that an injured ullmark makes saves swayman cannot against the panthers style of play. I hope it's a good game and regardless of who wins this has been fun to watch. Good luck in game seven ❤.
All season long the Bruins won by not over working their 2 goalies. Now all of a sudden they decide to ride 1 horse? Why change what got you here? Swayman was 24-6-4 this sesaon. The best #2 goalie in the league and would be a #1 on any team. They should have at least, AT LEAST put him in for game 5. Even if the Bruins lost game 5 with Swayman, they would have a rested Ullmark for game 6. Instead we have a beat down Ullmark who hasn't played more than 3 or 4 games in a row all season, about to make his 8th start in a row.
And now, Swayman is probably covered in rust. I have a feeling game 7 won't go good for the Bruins. I hope I'm wrong.

This loss is 100% on Monty. A. He should have played Swayman because it's obvious that Ullmark is NOT 100% B. When Ullmark let In that 3rd goal he should have pulled him and put in Swayman…wtf are you thinking Monty?! C. That 3rd D pair was fucking atrocious and should not have been on the ice much at all in the 3rd…not to mention that that lime shouldn't have been put together for this game in the first place. If we lose in this first series…Monty needs to be let go.
