Could mean theyāre in the lineup for game 6 which would be a great thing for us right now. Who knows though.
Meanwhile Tampa probably has a mandatory practice with everyone on the ice, doing drills, watching tape, preparing.
At least when they return to tampa they’ll probably do that
For everyone who is suggesting that Liljegren is coming in cold, a brief reminder that Bunting has only played 8:30 more than Liljegren has this entire series.
Scratch ZAR and Lafferty, roll 7 D (Lily in) and bring back Bunts.

Line 4 is a trainwreck, but you need Kampf for PK.
Skate the top 9 until they fucking die. Earn the extra days off by closing out the series in Tampa.

At the end of the day, there’s hope that Liljegren grows into a pivotal cog of this machine. So it’s easier to stomach mistakes as he grows in that role. There’s just no excuse for Holl. He’s a big body that plays small with no pay off. I’d roll the dice every day on youth.
I donāt know who you bench for bunting. kerfoot has been the worst forward. Maybe bench him to wake him up? Otherwise itās probably ZAR. One things for certain, kerfoots out of the top 9.
Why not try Gus over Lily? Lily wasnāt too great down the end stretch, Gus is experienced, no?
I like Liljegren, but letās be honest, he wasnāt playing well down the stretch. A lot of turnovers. But he canāt put up worse numbers than Holl has this series. I canāt see it. Yes, messing with a winning lineup is generally unwise, but the Leafs have been outplayed for the most part, despite having the series win.
And this might be a hot take, but why not Timmins? Heās got high-end playmaking abilities and good defensive instincts. Heās also faster than Holl. Iāve also seen him be more physical than Holl. When our blue line was depleted earlier in the season, Timmins stepped up. I get that he hasnāt played a lot of hockey over the past few years due to various injuries. And I get that he doesnāt have much playoff experience (but Knies had none and he hasnāt looked miscast). But I think he can handle bottom pairing minutes and will be less of a liability than Holl is right now.
Just win, thats all. Show us stats that say we are due for a series win.
