Jordan Eberle boarding on Andrew Cogliano – Have your say!

Jordan Eberle received a two minute minor penalty for boarding after this hit on Andrew Cogliano. Tough Call will be reviewing the incident. Have your say!

  1. I find it absurd that they didn't even give it the chance to be reviewed. You have the option to look it over and make sure that you want it to be two, and you don't even take it.

  2. Lol how he didnt get ejected is beyond me. That was more dangerous and egregious then makar.

If eberle dont get suspended, then you know the nhl is rigged.

  3. One of the worst hits you can make. Can paralyze a man very easily like that. Brutal. At least a game suspension, yeah?

  4. This will be the exact clip they use to show new to the NHL players, how "NOT" to check another player while near the boards! I'm sorry Cogliano, I hope that your ok man.

  5. Here's what I'll say, when the Makar thing happened I said on the Avs subreddit (I'm an Avs fan) that I didn't think it was a dirty hit, but that it was stupid and I think he deserved the game he got. I think the fans booing him are morons.

THIS right here is dirty. You can literally paralyse a guy or even kill them doing this. I would say the same thing if the teams were reversed, I called out Kadri for his stupidity when he was on our team and I'll continue to call out hits that can seriously injure someone regardless of whether it's an Avalanche player doing it or anyone else.

  6. Im sorry but that’s a dirty hit and he needs at least be suspended. The way he was pushed into the boards could break somebody’s neck

  7. The play wasn't over, Cogs had possession of the puck still on the ice & not flying out of play. Makar's hit was totally unnecessary. This one – border line at most. No way this is "the worst hit so far in the playoffs" though. Not saying either were clean – legal – or malicious BUT the NHL are failing these players!! Fix the rules!!

  8. How this was not a major penalty and a game miscoduct is a bigger mystery than the identity of Jack the ripper. That looked insanely dangerous. That looked like he could have broken his neck. How can the use of deadly force against an opponent only be a minor penalty? It's hockey, not gladiatorial combat.

  9. Nothing will happen…if Makar or any other Avs-player would have done that: suspension for sure

  10. No suspension will be handed down. The league wants Seattle to win. Now if a hit like that was done to a Krackhead player, it would be a definite Avs suspension.

  11. Worse than Makar's hit and Cale got 1 game…He should be suspended for game 7 … but we all know the NHL is consistently inconsistent.

  12. Eberle saw Coglino numbers the whole way! That is a goon throwing a temper tantrum because his team is losing. Grow up & be a professional.

  13. Again I love the hypocritical dichotomy of people. People can’t seem to be able to judge things objectively. If this isn’t a suspension then it’s just another in a mile long list of inconsistency with “what are the rules?”

  14. I mean… Cogliano rotated himself into a dangerous position and i wonder why. If he'd straightened up instead of bending forward and turning, he'd be fine. Eberle was already starting the hit when Cogliano turns and positions his body like that… I'm not sure what Eberle could've done to stop mid-hit. People comparing this to the Makar hit are insane. McCann and Makar were nowhere near the puck…
