  1. Kirby Dach contract is way too good to trade for Pierre-Luc Dubois alone. The jets would have to add some picks, because PLD would ask for a lot more $ for just a bit more production. I think we're overpaying for a Quebec-born player if we go for it. =/

  2. Why would the Habs trade anything to get a guy supposedly motivated to be in Montreal? I don't trust players that slack because they aren't playing for the one team they claim to want to play for. I wouldn't be surprised if Dubois gets butthurt once the media passes the honeymoon stage with him and watch what happens.

In his defense however, he had a pretty good season this past year which indicates he may have matured past his Columbus days.

Sean Monahan will never be healthy again. It's a shame but I wouldn't sign him for anything.

  3. Please for the love of god no we can literally sign him in free agency for nothing and keep all assets, Been nervous about PLD cause his actions carry all the way back to juniors dont want anymore drouin issues. I know he want to play for montreal but worry if something maybe not going his way hes gonna create issues. I just hope not looooool

  4. I'd do it in a second if that's what it took. There is no Bedard in next year's draft. And Anderson is worth more than Dach amigo. Power forwards are the players with the top premium now in the NHL. You need at least one PF to contend for the cup. And I'd give Jo a $1M 1 year "show me" contract IF the team lands Dubois.

  5. Bin non. Easy No!
I would trade up with our Fla pick. Maybe trade with Detroit or even Vancouver. Give Detroit (17th pick, and Anderson for the 9th), or (17th, a 3rd rounder, and Edmundson to Van for their 11th). Something like that. Finish between 5-8th place next summer, then sign Dubois if possible, and start trying to make playoffs in 2024/25 season and forward.

For PLD the best offer i would do, is our 2025 first rounder, and a 2nd round pick next season. I think that should be his value come trade deadline anyway, so they may as well trade to Canadiens. Of course having PLD for the start of next season changes our odds of finishing bottom 8, so that is something to consider as a negative for us as well.

  6. Lmao , Montreal would never make this trade,, Kirby Dach for PLD,,I keep Dach,, over PLD make no sense at all

  7. I learned that management will focus on player development which will take more time but it should result in a better team as a cup contender over time. They worked a lot on Slaf. this year. (things we don't see) So, Habs are likely to be well below average again next year. Patience is key. (lower expectations) Hopefully, in the next two or three years Habs will be a cup contender again. They're are a young emerging team. It is what it is. lol

  8. MTL’s 2nd pick in round 1. That I would do. Otherwise, if he wants to be a Hab, let some other team have him for a yr then sign him as a UFA. And as an extra bonus we’ll get him for a lot less $$ because he wants to wear the CH soooooooo bad. Genius!

  9. Anderson, 2023 2nd, Kidney. This has to be the move. And if they say no. And won't budge. 2024 UFA it is.

  10. Hey man, i completely agree with everything u said except for one thing, as it pertains to ppl calling PLD JD 2.0 yes you're right its not really the same thing but you should also use logic in this case, whether he did those things BECAUSE he wants to be a Hab or not doesnt change the fact that he did it, it was unprofessional on his part and that is still something to consider. For example what happens when he and MSL have a disagreement? Does he pout? Does he try to get him fired? Based on his history thus far we cant be certain, It may not be JD but its still a red flag nonetheless, ppl arent crazy for being worried about his approach.

  11. Ugh! Stop saying "It's your boy" when introducing yourself. It makes you sound like a buffoon.
