I guarantee you Chipman or Chevy made him say that

  2. Kros2020

Doesn’t matter now. Its out there in the universe.

  3. DistortedReflector

Cats out of the bag, anyone expecting roster changes can let go of hope. Chevy is running it back again and has sided with the players.

  4. RodgerThat1995

On the plus side he said he’d be more than willing to stay around for a rebuild if Chevy decides to go that route. I hope we do. Seen enough from this core to know how it’ll end next year if they come back.

  5. WatchTheNorthEndDie

He takes it back, but he fucking meant every word. It just wasn’t for us to hear.

Here’s the hard-line truth the jets org is a shitshow deniers are looking for.

  6. halo-st

I’m going to be completely honest, I’m getting actual Cult vibes from this current jets organization

  7. The_Intolerant_One70

Omg, here we go again. Let’s apologize to butt hurt feelings for speaking the truth! Considering the insane amounts of money these players make (across the league) not showing up, especially during playoffs, they’re quite fortunate that all they got was a verbal spanking!

This makes me more pissed at Wheeler. Bones says “I wear my heart on my sleeve” and Wheeler says “Bones never said anything in private”. Bull$h!t. He needs another puck to the balls

  9. milkisforbabies666

I didn’t see it as taking back his comments maybe Im wrong though. He stood beside the sentiment but he seemed to think some of his words were unprofessional.

  10. Falconflyer75

didn’t sound like he took it back, just that he regrets his choice of words, there’s a difference

take it back means = saying his position was wrong

he didn’t say his opinion was wrong

  11. Scooterguy-

Had mad respect for Bones yesterday. Lost most of it today. So sad to see him cave. Couldn’t even finish his 22 minute interview. He said what needed to be said with the words and passion required after game 5. Should have held his ground.

Nah fuck that Bowness, wear your heart on your sleeve. You’re the only one on that bench that showed, heart, emotion and pride to be on that team since January.

If Chevy/Chipman wont commit this team to a small rebuild, they are damning the teams potential and only making things worse

  13. battlelevel

No, you were right Bones. Go with your gut.

  14. kingwoodballs

If he was coerced into walking back those comments by upper management I would have told them to cram it up their ass. Especially at his stage of his career.

He was 100% right to say what he did when he did.

If the multimillionaire hockey players can’t accept that? Too bad for them.

  15. Timewasted_Gamez

He didn’t really take it back. He said that “disgusting” might have been a bit harsh but he believes in all the other things he says.

    Live me some Bones.

  16. Derek_BlueSteel

It’s the right message. Disgusting was the wrong word, while the effort shown was unacceptable. Much respect for the man and the coach.
