As a lightning fan, Toronto earned it. The refs absolutely sucked this game for Tampa but good teams overcome it. Tampa looked tired the whole series. They’ll rest up and be back next season
Just wish refs didn’t completely effect end of the game. Clear high stick and no call? Lightning easily could’ve scored and gone to game 7
OMG the Leafs finally did it! They finally won their first playoff series in almost 20 years and they actually made it through the first round and in 6 games to boot. I hope a Canadian team wins the cup even if it's the Leafs.

Fitting it was Tavares fitted with the big 'C' to get Leafs blowing into the next rd. The Leafs played better on the road – more relaxed/focused and this trend may continue…. 'We'll see' said the blind man!

As a Tampa Bay Lighting fan since 2004. I want to say congratulations to the Toronto Maple Leafs for winning this series and break the curse of the 19 year drought playoff curse. And shout for the Maple Leafs fans all over Toronto,Canada you guys are so loyal that I respect the leafs and got no hate towards them. You guys deserve this win and the revenge to us after last season that we did to you guys. But still congrats for the leafs for winning this season and good luck for the second round this year. You guys break the curse. This is a lighting fan saying that anyway in a nice and kind way to the leafs fans.

John Tavares helps another team break through a first round drought and in similar fashion. He did it all himself for the clinching goal for the Islanders too.
