Canucks Sign Conor Garland to 5-Year, $4.95M AAV Contract



The Vancouver Canucks have signed recent acquisition Conor Garland to a 5-Year contract worth nearly $25-Million. Garland had 39 points in 49 games next year, and looks like a lock to be a stud winger in the Canucks’ Top-6.

    i know people ar gonna complain that he got signed beofe petey but realistically if there was a player to offer sheet it would be garland over petey

    Man im not gonna life, love the signing but Im totally fine with EP signing and offer sheet and them losing him. Maybe im just ridiculously salty, but I want them to do badly this year just for Benning to leave. I can't stand this any longer. But I know its wrong.

    Slightly more than I hoped for but I think it's still money well spent, especially as it's an extra year or two than I expected – clearly a large part of why Holtby was bought out.

    Totally agree with the feeling that the Canucks aren't done with their moves, but I'm not sure we're going to see anything else before FA opens tomorrow. However, I think we'll see some activity over the next several days, although if Schmidt is moved it may take a bit longer – and I pray that if Benning doesn't rush into any trades or signings for the sake of getting things done quickly.

    Garlands prime years for 4.95 is solid. This forward core is built to contend now.
