  1. Duchene is going to mtl not nashvile for 4 reasons
1: He dosen't really like kyle turris like we saw in Ottawa he was always upset when he was compared with Kyle turris
2: He grew up as a habs fan and was wearing the number 9 in colorado in honor of Maurice Rocket Richard.
    3. He wants to stay in Canada and stay close to his family
4: Montreal is waaaay attractive now with the young core that bergevin build compare to Nashville who is choking in the playoffs

  2. You kidding me? Pavelski isnt going anywhere. Anyone thinks he wouldnt go with Sharks dont know hockey

  3. i am old enough to remember brendan shanahan and matt sundin using the habs exposure to sign huge contracts somewhere else.

    same scenario here.

  4. I dont want duchene to sign with montreal, it will be a disaster unless he proves everyone wrong. I am really looking forward to the habs prospect pool when they make the team roster

  5. I love what duchene did for Columbus, but Nashville needs his offence. They gotta be in win now mode

  6. Well Canadiens just traded off Andrew Shaw and have 12.6 in cap space but 10mil is too much for Duchene. Maybe around 65mil/8years

  7. I hear he's going to Nashville :S. Wed have to overpay him if we want to get him but this might be the one player worth overpaying considering the timing in terms of where the team is at. I know we did not get to the playoffs last two seasons but I look at the line up and if we can get Gardiner and Duchene, I'd see Montréal as potential contender…..Is signing Duchene a must? Considering that Price and Weber are a bit older now, the timing seems pretty perfect.

  8. I've been saying that Gardiner was probably the best option to play on the left side of Weber for almost a year…I still think he is. We don't have the right player to do the work in our roster right now. Maybe something amazing will happen and Mete is going to be incredible but starting the season with him on the first pair is not exactly maximizing the chances of him reaching is full potential.
