A bit of an unlucky result, but Landeskog should've commited to the hit, and aim square towards the body. A half-assed attempt at a hit like that won't do you any good.

a similar thing happened in the khl about a month ago, the ref just stood there and watched the player (who gained a severe concusion) torture himself while trying to get to the bench(while the opponents goalie beat him with a stick)… and the russians want to compare themselves to the NHL?..
Well explained, but I disagree. It looked like Landeskog was following the puck, behind him, by the time the hit occurred. Shouldn't the contract have been incidental?
