2004 I was in grade 9 and didn't pay attention to the playoffs as much as I do today.
and now because of the Leafs! the Finals will not have the Tampa bay Lightning in it like the 3 previous Stanley Cup Finals!

The way TBL lost despite being the better team for a greater part of the series, seemed characteristically Leafs including going 0-3 at home. Incredible to see the tables turned.
Reilly and Matthews were beasts all series, new additions like McCabe and Oreilly were brilliant pick ups. With the monkey finally off their back they might have new found mojo to go on a deep run, go Leafs!

Two reasons why it seems like the Leafs have a lot of “cross over” fans today:
1) everyone likes a comeback. The Leafs storied history is being broken and who doesn’t like a come back story?
2) Steve Dangle. He’s genuine, likeable, and don’t miss this… he’s honest. He’ll acknowledge his opponent’s strengths and the Leaf’s weaknesses. That more than being a Leaf’s fan. That’s being a Hockey fan and that’s what he is.
