  1. As long as I can remember Leafs fans cry and cry about officiating and demands that calls be called. This series they had to head hunt and survived off missed calls. Cool they won I guess, but they don’t look strong coming out of this.

  2. I know it's a storyline across the entire playoffs but this series in particular they talked about the incredible home records and mediocre road records of both teams. 5/6 won by the road team.

  3. This team is saving my life LOL what a sequel that would be. I cheered hard when I saw they'd won and I'm not a Leafs fan, but a Steve Dangle fan. I've wanted to see his Leafs win a god darn series since 2017 when the young core cut it's teeth against the Capitals. Finally, so glad for them.

  4. No one take this as me taking anything away from the leafs, they're as good if not better than Tampa as it stands, they deserve to have a close series, they deserve their win. However, I think the leafs are REALLY fortunate with this game. From the time Tampa tied it up, it really felt like there were 2 guys playing well in Matthews and Tavares. which, you need your big guys to step up in big moments as seen here, but with everyone else, their demons were clearly looming large. put Samsonov on that list as well ofc

  5. The Hockey Dude – "I celebrated"

Translation – "I am loving all the views I will get from Toronto"

  6. I remember as a 12 year old watching the Stanley Cup with my father and brother in 1967 on a black and white TV since then always being a Leaf fan, last night win was so sweat, it could of been a different game if not for Sammy. Go Leafs Go!

  7. The refs wanted the leafs to win so bad lmao😅 how you dont call a high stick hitting heagel before overtime is just nuts especially in front of the refs but its all good…

  8. Just so you guys know, Toronto has at least a million fans with the passion of Steve Dangle.

  9. Refs finally let them win. It was so obvious it's just disgusting. They did not deserve this win or the win in game 3. Both of those games were clearly just the refs being told or saying amongst themselves "it's the Leaf's time so just let things go" them pulling the goal from Point in game 3 made it obvious. They don't care about the best team winning, they wanted the NHL pet team to win because they know it will drive up sales much more than Tampa winning again.

  10. I saw somewhere the Leafs are the first team in NHL history to win three OT games on the road in a series. pretty cool. Thanks for Tampa and fans for being pure class, it was a great series

  11. Not a leafs fan, but even I jumped up and yelled. Congratulations.

I dont think they win round 2 but now that the monkey is off their backs anything could happen

  12. First of all no, they don't give you the 6 feet from the bench on a too-many-men. We've seen this called many times, the reason it wasn't called was because, as it should be, it's an elimination playoff game. You want to let as much as possible go that doesn't directly interfere with a scoring chance… double if it's late in the game. This is why that high stick, which Hagel played up, wasn't called. Over reffing literally cost us game 7 last year with the phantom call BS. So if you think that should have been called you are a brand of fan that thinks there is no difference between the reg season and post season.
