Eye for an eye! Either the refs protect the players by enforcing the rules at the time, or players police the game themselves. At the very least, this play needs review and Makar should be out as long as Mcann. Fishy, weak call.

For us Seattle Sports fans we are ALL TO USE to referee's and officials trying to screw our teams out of something. It's obviously that what this is. Toronto told the refs don't toss Makar he's one of our Canadian gems don't toss him it will look bad. SCREW THAT. And the reason our players didn't retaliate is BECAUSE they know that Seattle would be screwed HARD if they did. A 5 minute major, misconduct, AND a 20 game suspension. It's so hypocritical
Nothing emphasizes how corrupt the reffing has gotten than the Makar hit. They originally said 5 min major then they change their minds on the fly and It's a 2 min penalty. Then the next day the NHL shows up the corrupt reffing unironicly by handing Makar a suspension showing their hand that it should have been a major all along.

Makar barely breathed on McCann. As a player you have to take some responsibility for staying on your feet after post play bumps and brushes. That's a joke that there's a suspension. McCann just fell down like a 6 yr old first-time skater.
