Lol Chevy calling us losing to Calgary in the pre-16 playoff round a success? if that counts as making playoffs, it was gifted by Covid

Don’t you think he looks tired?

As someone who has been a fan of how chevy has handled the asset management of the team in the past and even defended some of his more questionable moves I am over him being the GM of the Jets.
To go out there and to constantly defend mediocrity and pretend that every season since the 2018 playoff run hasn’t been a shitshow where the team has imploded on itself and limped into playoffs just to get bounced is a disservice to the fan base who is smart enough to know otherwise.
Between the teams PR and this “forever winnipeg” ad campaign, the jets organization is sending a clear message to the fans. “Shut up and buy your season tickets”
Well until they change their messaging I wont be buy any tickets or merchandise. And that will start with firing chevy

The franchise cant afford a rebuild. It can’t even fill a tiny arena when it puts a team with a winning record on the ice year after year.
Winnipeg isn’t like cities where businesses own more than half the season tickets and will hold on to them regardless of record. Fans in those cities can hold their noses for a few years while watching the odd game and will start watching when they get good again.
People are holding on to this myth that the franchise return has been a massive success and there is no danger that it will leave but it was 3rd last in attendance.

Sell the franchise again

Anyone who is a STH and plans to keep their tickets can complain about them not going into a rebuild can complain.
Anyone else has no skin in the game.

For a team that’s supposedly in the midst of a season ticket selling crisis they’re sure not giving potential buyers any reason to jump on board for next year. Looks like we’ll be seeing the same old mediocrity from the same bunch of entitled millionaires. Without a doubt Chevy needs to go.

Chevy hasn’t been the same with the media since the whole Chicago sex assault case.
Now he tells us that this isn’t “fantasy hockey”, that making the playoffs is success and God damn it, we should be happy to get a couple of home playoff games.

That’s the best Ken Wiebe article I’ve read in a long time. I can’t believe he’s being so sassy in it! Way to go, Ken.
