As an Arsenal fan I see the Thierry Henry in Isak since the Euro 2020. It felt like we really missed an opportunity to sign him in January 2022.
Arsenal edu and team missed out big time on isak and guimares they were linked to both players but were penny pinching in window and Newcastle just paid up

Instead of bringing up Henry, Van Nistelrooy and Haaland, a better comparison would have been Kanu. Also, as good as Isak is, Olly Watkins form over the past 13 matches is just as impressive.

Tbf anyone whose payed Fifa or FM has known about Isak for years. Geordie has gone early on this for sure but Isak definitely has the talent to be a great player but he’s been patchy to this point in his career. Didn’t live up to the hype at Dortmund and then ran a bit hot and cold at Sociedad. If he can keep the consistency to match his ability as he now comes into his prime he may well be the first player to bag 20 in a season for Newcastle since Shearer, but it’s still a maybe for now.
What about Ivan toney and oldie Watkins

That’s cap, I’m an Arsenal fan & I can admit that there are similarities between Isak & Henry in their movements & they way they carry the ball, etc. Brian isn’t saying he’s the beat in the world atm, he’s just admiring his talent and excited by his potential to be a special player for his side.
