Sixth and final game of the series. We had a lot happen in this one including a goalie broken stick (on Skinner of course because I mean it's the Oilers) that leads to a tying goal (easy one). Yamamoto getting the game winner. Klim Kostin with 2 goals playing under 9 minutes of time. Broberg playing under 4 minutes (complete waste). LA with a shortie after a breakdown during the second PP the Oilers got in the game (they scored on the first one so they were 50% on the PP tonight which actually brings their PP level in the playoffs DOWN, yeah, I know, something is kind of wrong when 50% on the PP isn't as good as you normally do). We were really winning the faceoffs. The LA selection of three stars is pretty much a crock. I'm sorry, yes, Leon had a fantastic game playing over 27 minutes (Connor did too) but come on, Klim Kostin with 2 goals and an assist (and that assist was on the game / series winner) and he gets no love from LA (probably as they would have won the game if he wasn't playing). A lot less hits by the Oilers in this one. Couple of days in LA to rest up then on to Vegas to begin round two. Take care all.

  2. Well the Playoffs have been great so far and entertaining however the only thing we haven't seen is an upset ….as much as I am rooting for the Kraken and Panthers today I still feel the seedings are going hold.

  3. well make sure you get a close up look at mcdavids goal korpasalo lifts his leg just enough for the puck to under the pad. $$$$$

  4. Oilers surprised me with their depth scoring in this series, especially in this game. Skinner was a beast, and even that shorty I realized had nothing to do with him, a broken stick was all that was. I was proven wrong and am happy for it. I hope the trends continue because Vegas will be tough. Its awesome the hockey gods have given us McDavid vs. Eichel in a round 2 playoff series! Such a thought would've been impossible a couple years ago. Us Canadians are happy tonight. 2 out of 8 teams left, so you're telling me there's a chance.

  5. Detroit and Oilers fan here. Heart shriveled up after skinners broken stick but they got the job done. I’ve become an oilers fan this year and it’s time for them to hoist Stanley. Go home Will, you’re obnoxious.

  6. Awww..my Kings. Definitely ascending exciting team…but sense these Oilers are team of Destiny. All the best to Oilers as they advance down the Road..

  7. I think Danualt's goal may just turn out to be bad news for Oiler's opponents.
Skinner's 24 and in his 6th playoff game ever. "Handling the puck" lesson learned?
He's had his "bad game and I was pulled but guys bailed me out" game already.

  8. You missed the part where Kempe broke Skinner’s stick on a slash and then it failed when he tried to play the puck thus giving up the shortie…

  9. I can't help but think if Copley (or even Quick for that matter) was in net we'd have won this series. Korpisalo ain't it. That trade was a mistake and Blake and McLellan need to both go immediately to save this team from anymore mistakes. Just let Luc take over already

  10. This game made me so mad Korpisalo is not playing well Copley played well in relief last game so why didn’t you start Copley with how well the Kings played they should’ve won the game and tied the series but Korpisalo sucked so they didn’t ugh

  11. Your recap videos are better when you ad lib some actual opinions and knowledge instead of just calling bingo numbers.

  12. The kings staff and their decision to keep playing Byfield in situations that he is no where near capable of succeeding in is mind boggling.
First line left wing ( 3 goals re season).
Was a disaster and as the series wore on became a huge defensive liability as well.
Then the genius move of putting your worst offensive player between two of your best , Fiala and villardi was equally bad.
In fact he was on the ice for game winner last night.
He needs a ton more time to develop in the ahl.
Hopefully he can come up and be successful then.
Though I have my doubts on that.

  13. Yep, I have to agree with you about the Kings. They are just starting the building of a great team. Now they all have some playoff experience. Their minor league system is filled with young guys ready to come up over the next few seasons. Byfield is growing in his game. The one big question mark remains their goaltending. Korpisalo is good but Edmonton figured him out. Where do the Kings go from here in net? I simply don't know. I don't think Korpisalo is the answer.

  14. As a Habs fan who has a major soft spot for Danault and is unsurprisingly a fan of McDavid, I am a little bummed the series is over

  15. We did our best, we just got outskated. GS Oilers, good luck with the rest of the playoffs. Go Kings Go!

  16. LA Kings were great and it's sad to see them go, though I was on Edmonton's side as a fan. Vegas/Edmonton has to be very exciting hockey coming up and the Luck of the Puck better be for Edmonton. Vegas will be an even tougher win, if Edmonton can do it. Well, they can, but some luck may be required, as it was with the Kings now and again.

  17. i’m sorry shannon, skinners stick broke he would not have missed that pass if it didn’t. i don’t blame skinner for that

  18. Refs tried to mmake us lose obviously, hard to watch hockey now when you know its unfair to canadian teams

  19. He did not fan on it Shannon. His stick was broken by kempe on the play right before. His stick was snapped.

  20. the fans being so cordial with one another, compared to Colorado/Seattle and Carolina/NY is refreshing.
then again, SoCal ppl are pretty nice imo

  21. That broken goal stick was heartbreaking. Congrats to Oilers.
Vegas vs Edmonton should be great

  22. GG Oilers fans. Had strong hopes for a longer playoff run this season but we ran into an EDM team of destiny.

  23. That is a nice jersey. Wish they would have went back to the copper and dark blue instead of going back to the 80's uniforms.

  24. AHHHHH I HATE HOW THE KINGS LOSE IN SUCH A PREDICTABLE KINGS WAY. TRADEMARK KINGS GAME MAKES ME GO INSANE!!!!!!
